Just ok
Didn't find the desk staff very pleasant or interested especially the woman who was the only one who insisted we had to leave our door card every time we left the hotel then wait to get it on return if there were guests checking in !Free 7hr wi fi was difficult to obtain and gave up in the end. Room was small, bathroom good. Had to keep curtainns closed for privacy as hotel is on quite a noisy street and in view of appartments opposite, neefs net curtains! Asked for single beds as i was sharing with my elderly Dad but they were tooo difficult to part. Thought breakfast was included but it wasn't. The location of hotel is good with the metro and buses literally around the corner. There are plenty of little bars, cafes and restaurants close by and even a Carfour supermarket which was handy for drinks/snacks, and plenty of pharmacies. It has a very local atmosphere. Loved the Seine boat trip, open top bus tour and Monmarte. Did find the language barrier very diffficult and frustrating. The traffiic is alarming ans crossing the road is scary to say the least. Was able to see all the top attractions in to our two day trip, but won't be going back to Paris ever again.

Great little find
Great little find - we booked our trip last minute and were prepared that we might not get the best choice of hotels. How wrong we were. The Brittany Opera is a lovely little hotel. About a 20 minute walk to Gare Du Nord. There is a Metro station approx. 2 minutes away (Lorette de Notre Dame on Line 12) that you can easily navigate your way around Paris on. Loved the immediate area - lots of funky, interesting little shops, supermarkets if you wish to get supplies in and some lovely cafes and restaurants. The area was safe to walk at night time. We were very happy with this hotel and it's location. The family room we had was smallish, but to be expected of a city centre hotel in Paris. However, it was very clean and the bathroom was actually a good size. We had breakfast included and it was more than adequate for us - a selection of cereals, pastries, breads, meat, cheese, fruits and yoghurts. It was a good way to start our very busy days. We would most definitely return to this hotel.

Poor 2.0
Expedia recommended this property and they did a very bad job finding this lazy place. We stayed 4 nights. All four nights, we did not have Air conditioning in the room. When we checked the front desk, they were making all the excuses and every day the front desk person was promising it will be fixed. It was never fixed. Coming back to the hotel in the night in the stuffy room was not a pleasure experience. Also TV did not work and excuses we will work on it and will be fixed. Never happened. Front desk folks were not very friendly and pleasant. I had a very bad experience with them. Favor your self never ever book Hotel Brittany Opera in Paris. Location was not that great and service was absolutely the worst possible.

Close to metro station and supermarkets.
The location is great for experiencing international cuisine in just a three blocks radio, we were able to find Japanese, Italian, Turkish, and Argentinian. Also, you can be on a budget as there are two supermarkets, you get to try where the locals buy their food and drinks. The selection of wines with prices and styles are worth the trip. There is a great fruit market in a two-block radio with affordable healthy snacks. The Metro station can take everywhere that you need to go. If you are arriving CDG airport and you are traveling lite, you will only need 12 euros per person to reach the hotel, and 12 euros to get back.

Fair 4.0
This is my first time leaving a bad comment on Expedia... but I am very disappointed with the hotel. The receiption guy in the morning was very impolite. Once I arrived the hotel, I told the guy ( with smile) “ I would like to check in please”. The guy answered me with a very rude tone: “ your name is check in? Of course you will want to check in, give me passport” ...... this is how your hotel welcoming customer??
