Easy check in/out, very firm beds (too firm for me, but not bad), small pillows (but ok), 8/10 breakfast (but I’m not a big breakfast person), quiet in rooms, cold a/c, outside is outdated, but inside of rooms are nicely updated. Overall, and 8/10

Strong Cigarette Smoke and Bloody Band Aid
In all fairness we arrived a day early and checked out a day early. The room had a very strong smoke odor and my girlfriend had to buy a scented candle and a disinfectant to help get rid of the odor. I noticed the vent fan in the bathroom was yellow from the cigarette smoke. We noticed a bloody band Aid stuck to the wall in the bathroom towards the end of our visit. The room was cheap, you get what you pay for. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I get a hotel room twice a year for alumni events at SHSU.

small pillows
The hotel is right off the interstate so it's easy to find. The office is in a separate building from the rooms, so we had to walk across the parking lot to get coffee or breakfast. The pillows are small and square. There was some traffic noise from the highway. There is a Mexican restaurant next door that has delicious food.

Disappointing
When we arrived we discovered the promised warm breakfast was unavailable due to renovations. Hotels.com should have been aware of this and made its customers aware of it. The shower had little hot water. I had to run the water a good 10 minutes before the coldness of the water was offset by a modicum of warmth. The shower had no grab bars or safety features. The light fixture in the shower area had no covering or lens to help cut the glare of the light. You could see the light bulb in the can - no covering at all. The bedsheets had stains on them.
