It would be nice for the breakfast menu to be changed daily. Same breakfast menu for 6 days is a NO

Very good
Good value for a Hilton affiliated property.
Staying at the Doubletree Waikiki provides about what you'd expect from a Doubletree: the rooms are reasonably sized and well-appointed, people who work there are friendly, and you get a warm cookie when you check in. Some members of Hilton Honors get a free continental breakfast and can buy up to a hot breakfast for $9. For everyone else, the Doubletree is next door to Cheeseburger CP Prime, where a hot breakfast with tea or coffee is also about $9. This hotel offers free DVD rental and has Playstation 3 consoles in its rooms, which is nice if you want to have an evening in or are there for a family trip. Parking is valet-only, which is common for Waikiki. I was disappointed to find that there is no self-service laundry; there is a "leave it for us" option, but that's always absurdly expensive. Fortunately, across the corner on Kapiolani is a 7-Eleven, and the back side of that building is a laundromat. Problem solved. :-) The location of the Doubletree is pretty great: just a block up from the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it provides easy access to the beach at a fraction of the cost. I'd recommend staying here if you favor Hilton properties. Not a Hilton member? Well, then I'd waver a bit. Several hotels in the immediate area are cheaper on average and offer more generous amenities (e.g. free breakfast at the La Croix, breakfast vouchers and a three-times-a-week wine-and-cheese reception at the Luana). But prices do vary from day to day.

aloha to DoubleTree... aloha goodbye, not hello
hidden fees every where. i could’ve sworn i saw that i had paid for the resort fees through hotels.com but they charged me at the hotel anyway. asked for the room to be cleaned and did not get clean multiple days. our last night there we turned the sink and shower faucet on and brown water came out. asked the front desk about it and they sent a maintenance worker up and all he told us was to leave it on and let it run. well we let it run for 3 HOURS!! and it was still brown. couldn’t shower and we had to leave for the airport. asked the front desk to cover all the parking fees for the inconvenience and they covered 1 day. i guess preserving the company profit is better than preserving customer service. very unhappy with this place and their service. myself and my family and my friends will never be staying here again. cue Captain Onviois.... where is he? oh okay.. he’s busy showering in the brown water... well obviously. amyways... i advise staying else where. get more for your money. and get better service too.
