Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort And Spa

I can not reccommend Le Meridien Beach Resort in Dubai enough..... from the beautiful, friendly and kind staff, to the accommodation standards .... it was a great stay! The rooms were clean and a good size, they provided fresh fruit everyday - which comes in handy when you have children, and the pool was child friendly. There were 3 pools (i believe) but we only used the main pool on our trip. My husband and I are Bali, Nusa Dua lovers but we are considering changing our Bali trips in the future to Dubai as the service we received was just as good as the service in Bali. I also need to mention the fantastic Gym and Spa facilities...... a high recommendation from us!

I was given a room at the tower (facing the beach, on the right hand side). I informed the manager that the noise from the air con system of the next building is not to my preference. Requested for a change of room. Hotel said its full occupancy. However, when my colleague booked another room subsequently, it was available and he was given a different but better facing. I am certainly not impressed.

Lots for everyone, good all round, mid to high tier, but not quite the same touches of one of the more prestigious chains as you would expect.

We have booked three rooms in his hotel for five days as a family trip. Well, our stay was not a great experience at all. The water was shut down for three hours without previous notice and because we have a baby, it caused us a lot of problem. We decided to go to the kids club for our 5-years-old son. All the kids were playing with computers and play stations. I asked the lady in charge that if there is another thing to play with because I do not want my boy to play with computer or play station. She rudely answered that if you raised your child well, he should not go and play with computers himself.... Overall, I have been to more than 15 five stars hotels in Dubai, and this one was not a five star experience at all. I have to mention that we raised this issue with the manager and she kindly offered us a free transport to airport.
