Very small room especially the bathroom no windows in the room. Delux room booked. Very musty smell in the lifts and room. Complained about smell and they changed our room. Just wrapped up a stay at Grande Collection Hotel and Spa (March 22–25) and it was honestly the highlight of our trip. The staff and bellboys were absolute legends—so helpful with our heavy luggage and always ready to give us the best local tips. It’s a super friendly vibe, making it perfect for families or couples looking for a stress-free base. One thing we loved was how safe the area feels. Even at midnight, we felt totally fine walking around; there’s no need to be scared at all. We paid a very reasonable fee to upgrade to a 7th-floor city view balcony, and I’d 100% recommend it! Watching the Old Quarter buzz from above was so cool. The bed is a total game-changer too—easily the best sleep we’ve had while traveling. The location is unbeatable, with endless food and coffee right outside. Also, do yourself a favor and hit the spa; the traditional Vietnamese massage was so relaxing. Big thanks to the team for looking after us. We’ll be back!

Great location, in the old quarter, just in the middle of everything. You can get by walk to all main places in Hanoi or even to take a public bus near by to get to the French Quarter in just 15 minutes. Great service and breakfast, including eggs fresh made. It also count with laundry service really affordable and fast (in just one day).

The employees at the property are so nice and accommodating. I think this is the reason the property has good customers ratings. However, this is not a 4 star hotel. It is rundown and more like a basic older motel. However, it is in an excellent location so if you want service and good location, this place is for you. If you want an upper scale hotel with a nice room and good shower, this place is not for you.

The location was perfect, it was walking distance from the centre. Rooms are not like pictures on the website. It is small and very dark inside. Lots of dust in under the bed. No lift to the 7th floor or no interconnecting rooms. Breakfast area is very small.

Small, dark room. Noise from the lobby and other floors carried up the stairwell, which interrupted sleep. A mistake was made with our booking and we had to change rooms for a two-night stay, which was inconvenient and seems like something hotel management would want to avoid. At the very least, a room rate discount would have been better appreciated than a discount at the hotel spa. Sometimes we were ignored by staff when we entered the hotel lobby instead of being greeted when staff were just sitting around the lobby. Breakfast was good, but staff was indifferent and seemed put upon if you ordered eggs. We stayed in this hotel five years ago and found it satisfactory then, but after this visit, I wouldn’t stay again.

We checked outto go on an overnight cruise which they booked for us and when we came back the next day they told us someone needed to stay in the room we were supposed to ha ve and they are fully booked. Terribile hotel!!! I have had a Very bad experience with this hotel, which I have never had before!!! All walls, celling, door and window faces to corridor are very thin structures and pass through all noises of hotel!! I could not sleep until 02:00!!! Hotel reception lady is very unfriendly and doesn’t say even hello when I pass her. Bathroom has very bad smell of sewage. Breakfast is poor. Everything is worst and further it is not cheap!!! It is better to choose another hotels because there are lots lots of hotels much better than this hotel!!!!!
