I I didn't like having to pay for parking. I didn't like the music that was thimping until at least 11 o'click at night. They say they have pillow top mattresses. It was a mattress cover that keep coming untucked. Not to mention the quilt cover wouldn't stay on the quilt. We had no view except other windows and a cement roof top. Very disappointing. I wouldn't go back.

The carpets and furniture have not been recently cleaned but the bed is very comfortable. Not an easy in and out of the hotel if you have seniors traveling.

I love Marriott’s but what they did to my hometown favorite hotel kind of shocked me. There’s no longer a bar/lounge which used to be the hangout spot for the grown and sexy in my day. That’s now a Starbucks... Sorry Joe... There seems to be a new fine dining restaurant but it was closed like everything else in the hotel so didn’t get to experience that. Even still the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The staff were also delightful.

It was a distance to walk from the hotel parking lot to the check in desk w/ our luggage etc. Signage was a little unclear as to how to get to the Pere Marquette check in from the parking deck. There was no mini fridge or microwave in our room. We didn't find the coffee maker that was tucked way back on the shelf in the armoire until our second day there. The TV did not work well, the images kept freezing up or jumping. Unfortunately, due to COVID19, the restaurant and Starbucks that are attached or very close proximity to the hotel were both closed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The registration desk person the night of our check in was helpful in correcting the error in one of our room assignments from a room w/ 1 king bed to the correct reservation room of one with 2 dbl/queen beds.

The first room that I received was okay. The shower had a slow leak. The front desk stated that the engineer was not available, but I called back and suggested a new room. They were able to accommodate Disappointment that the kitchen was not open but other restaurants and pubs were available in the area. Across the street. Overall, okay service/experience.
