I expected more from a 5 star hotel.
The staff and service at the hotel are second to none and the location is fantastic. The hotel itself is a little tired and out dated. The air conditioning struggled barely going below 24C. I didn’t know about Asian mattresses being so hard. The bed was like sleeping on the floor. The staff were happy to give me two mattress toppers which helped a little. I have since been told this is normal in Thailand. The pool was good but a little green. Another guest mentioned it to the staff who assured us all that the chlorine level was normal. We were in the executive suite with executive privileges which was well worth the money. To be honest I expected the hotel to be a bit more luxurious for a 5 star hotel.

We loved our stay. We stayed on the executive floor and it was amazing. The staff were incredible.....couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour were incredible. Our room was very comfortable.

I always choose to stay at Pullman G because the service is always exceptional. The food is on point. The staff are fantastic and utterly professional. I travel for work and have stayed there a few times, but this was the first time that I asked for some paperwork to be printed by concierge and she proposed a 5 baht per page fee. The cost is nothing, but it cheapened the hotel for me, which was disappointing because everything else is perfect but they ruined the brand image for 20 baht.

Reception was great on arrival, prepared my room on early check in, and they were very helpful. It’s a nice feeling when I can walk around the hotel and feel I was at home. Only set back for the room is the floors were scuffed and needed doing. Ware and tear of the rooms quite bad, possible upgrade soon I suggest

Avoid this hotel
We waited 30 minutes at check in and it got worse from there. This is a dirty hotel with very poor service standards. They have spent so much energy in trying to look “cool” that they’ve missed the basic service standards. We stayed on the executive floor. For four days no-one remembered our room number or name. The drink voucher we were given in lieu of the appalling check in was declined when we tried to use it. I could go on and on. An example. The photo I attached is the filthy carpet in the executive lounge!! My advice is that there are so many great hotels in Bangkok so there is no need to endure this terribly managed hotel.
