The hotel was clean but quite dated with old carpeting. Beds were comfortable. Location is convenient to the Coastal Trail and downtown restaurants.

When we first arrived, entrance looked like a budget hotel, but wow our room was fabulous! We got the a deluxe two bed room: It was huge with a kitchen and bar with a microwave, a toaster oven, a fridge, and sink. What more could you want !

We had stayed at the Captain Cook the night before, but due to last minute changes to our itinerary, they couldn't accommodate a longer stay. So we booked the Voyager. It was clean and has been updated although it is an older property. Had access to Captain Cook amenities which was super helpful. Staff was nice and helpful. Convenient location. Not a 5 star resort but a lot less people than the Cook.

The beds and linens were super comfortable! The best amenity that they provide is free access to the gym in the 4-star hotel across the street as they are sister properties - the "gym" they speak of is more like a country club, separated by gender, that also contain lockers, showers (w/ soap, shampoo, conditioner), towels, and a wet & dry sauna. This alone made the Voyager Inn a huge win in amenities, even though there was no free breakfast set up yet, there was at least coffee in the mornings and water. The staff was very helpful and accommodating - the first room I entered had the heat blasting on high even with the thermostat turned fully down so they quickly reassigned me. I had also requested a rollaway bed and the one provided was actually very comfortable! With the couple of problems we encountered, the manager found solutions to satisfy the stay and kept us happy. The location is walkable to good restaurants, bike rentals, cafes, and gift shops. I would stay here again.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. They are under new ownership since June and some of the things have changed. They no longer serve breakfast nor do they do the manager social event in the evenings with wine and beer.

Check in was a bit awkward because it feels like checking into an apartment building rather than a hotel. The lobby is super small. And finding out there is no designated parking, discounted parking, or risk free parking was very upsetting. I hate parking on the street even though it was free this weekend, but the only alternative was to pay $30 in a lot; neither of which provides any protection from getting hit, homeless, drunks, or weather. No amenities were mentioned so I don’t know if they exist. There was no mention of breakfast, snacks, the pool, etc even though some of the reviews I had read mentioned shared amenities with the hotel across the street. The size of the room was awesome. We very much appreciated finding a clean hotel downtown that is affordable and is NOT filled with homeless people or bed bugs! The bathroom could use some remodeling, the mini-fridge was turned off and looks ancient, and the remote control was super difficult to make work. Otherwise, we were very happy with the room. We will definitely be staying here again. Hopefully, the prices stay reasonable! They do offer an Alaska resident rate on their website, BUT they’re offering cheaper rates through orbitz so we ended up having to book that way.

Hotel is not bad for the price during summer, however the hotel is very close to restaurants and other institutions.

Across the street from Hotel Captain Cook. The property is a more affordable, safe, and convenient option for staying in downtown Anchorage.

Parking was expensive ($30-$32) Our room was clean and nice. No breakfast but there was hot coffee. I thought $300 was high. I usually pay 135-150 for a property like this but I guess Anchorage is high in the summer.
