The dirtiest room I've ever seen!
This hotel was by far the worst place I've ever stayed. Newly remodeled this year, it looks lovely. However, upon looking closer our room was FILTHY! There was hair on the floor around the bathtub & toilet, crumbs & an eyeglass lense on the bedroom floor. When my kids pulled back the blankets to their bed there were pubic hairs in the sheets, when my husband pulled back our bedding there were little black scratchy things all over the sheets & some type of a dead bug. It was absolutely sickening. I pulled the bedding off my kids bed to see what condition the mattress was in & low & behold there was a giant urine stain. There was absolutely no way we were sleeping at that hotel. We packed up our belongings & headed to the front desk at 1am to check out. The employee was very rude & unprofessional. He keep saying "Yo, why ya comin' at like that bro?", "I ain't did nothin' to you.", "why ya keep comin' at me like this?"... I never yelled, I expressed my frustration & simply stated our room was filthy, not fit for anyone to stay in & I was very disappointed in the fact that the beds were dirty, the mattress stained, the floors not cleaned & that we were checking out & I wanted a refund. The employee finally settled down & agreed to look at the pictures I took & eventually apologized. Needless to say, after spending 7 & 1/2 long hours at a college football game, we drove 150 miles home at 1:30 in the morning. I will never, EVER attempt to stay at a Red Lion again!

We made our reservation and pre paid for a 2- Queen suite 9 months in advance. When we tried to check in, the desk clerk struggled for 15 minutes to get us checked in. She was obviously having a tough day. Then we were informed that they had no card keys to give us, so we would have to go to the front desk every time we needed to get into our room and have one of the staff come up with us to let us in. When we got into the room, we discovered that we had been given a standard room instead of the suite we had paid for. When we came back downstairs, the desk clerk was helping someone else check in , and somebody else waiting to be helped. We had to run to an appointment, and our ride was waiting so I didn't figure I had 45 minutes to an hour to get the situation worked out. I let the desk clerk in the morning know what had happened, she took my email and phone number to have the manager contact me, but nobody has bothered to call. The standard room was ok, but I paid for a suite.

Free Airport Shuttle... If we have a driver.
We had stayed at this hotel before the renovation and wanted to give it another try based on location. Another determining factor was the "free airport shuttle", which would have been a great convenience since I was traveling by myself with a lot of luggage and a three year old. They certainly have an airport shuttle parked out front! However, when I asked the first night how we manage to use it, she replied to me that it "depends on if we have a driver or not". So I politely asked if they would have one the next day. She checked in the back and confirmed we would be able to use the shuttle because they had a driver. The next morning, we came down packed up and ready to go and the next clerk told me "Oh, we don't have a driver today". No apologies, nothing else when I mentioned i had previously confirmed. No information on cab companies. She just went back to a private conversation on her phone. I had to scramble to get a taxi. This hotel needs to remove their false claim of a free airport shuttle. Or update it to "Free shuttle! ...if we have a driver. And even if we tell you we checked and we do have a driver the day you need, we actually don't." They could also sweep a little better in the rooms. We were treated to plenty of other guests hair, including pubic hair my son kept finding in the bath tub. Long story short. NO complimentary shuttle, ZERO guest service skills up front, but plenty of complimentary hair in the bathroom and vanity area.

I checked into the hotel on March 26fj with my husband and daughter late in the evening due to a late flight. The hotel was maybe five minutes from the airport and very easy to find, it sits behind a Shell gas station. There was no parking so we had to park at the gas station, we checked in with no issues, the next day I noticed how filthy the room was, carpets dirty along with sheets & bathrooms. I requested the room he cleaned, the next day the room was still dirty and again I requested for the room to be cleaned but my request went unanswered. After two days they moved us to a suite which wax worst, after checking in we noticed there were once again dirty sheets and this time a pile of dog food in a corner! Also the tv didn’t work, we called the front desk twice and spoke to a gentleman named Raymond who said he would yzke care of this immediately. He sent a maintenance man down to fix that tv but that was it, after calling back and asking when and who was coming to clean the room Raymond then said he would come. We waited all night but he never came. This hotel may look clean but there is far more nastiness that meets the eye. I would not suggest staying here. Terrible breakfast terrible water pressure and horrible customer service.

I chose Red Lion because I have stayed at them in the past and have always been impressed however this red lion was a large disappointment. Upon checking in the clerk seemed frustrated and rude. She was not friendly or accommodating. When we got to the rooms (we had 2) one room had a distinct smell that I could not figuare out and could not get out of the room. I tried opening the window and turning on the fan to no avail. The beds were made sloppy with the bed skirts tucked in reviling the bottom mattress. If it was just the bed I could have lived with that however upon leaving to get some dinner we returned to one room inside door lock stopper out and we were not able to get into the room. We went down to the front desk and again greeted with attitude we tried to get it ourselves. We finally were able to get in ourselves when a maid came up to help. She was more friendly and informed us that this happens all the time it’s just the type of locks they had. This is funny since the lady at the front desk seemed to not know of this at all and annoyed that she had to call someone to ask what to do. Needless to say we just stayed In our rooms. At breakfast I was more disappointed as the dinning room was filthy. The trash was overflowing and dripping in crap all over the sides the counters were filled with spilled food from other patrons from the morning that had been sitting there. Not clean at all the hotel was no help when needed I will pay a higher price to stay some where else
