SF visit
Beautiful old style hotel. Room spotlessly clean but stairway skirtings needed a good dust. Fantastic shower, great ceiling fan. Bed very soft, felt like a water bed. Breakfast was croissants and muffins with tea/coffee to take back to your room 😔. So easy to walk to Union Square and the cable cars, but a real homeless problem right throughout SF. Lovely restaurant attached to hotel and hotel guests got a complimentary glass of wine each evening between 5-6.

Acceptable in a pinch
The room was not particularly clean. The bathrooms are very small, maybe three feet wide in a king sized room? Not enough space to stand in front of the sink with the door closed. Our friends in a different room found used condoms in the bathroom.

good: clean , convenience, located at downtown area so it is easy to get public transportation. Continental breakfast every morning with coffee bar at lobby. Vintage style , staff is friendly & helpful. improvement: flushing toilet noise during bedtime. No fridge nor air conditioner in room.
