Go elsewhere, sleep in your car!
Where do I start! The sign is nicely lit from the road then you enter a war zone of a car park and the hotel has no sign. None. There is a casino sign so I went in to ask where our hotel was and she said this is it we don't have a sign. The hallway is the longest one I've ever seen and it's tiled. Let that sink in for a second. Someone somewhere decided that a long echoey hallway would benefit not from sound deadening carpet but from sound amplifying tile. So every step every chunk chunk of suitcases as they went along it and every slam of the Fort Knox style door locks echoed and reverberated round the room all day and night. I booked two queen bed x2 rooms, my kids are of an age now where they won't share so we paid for two queen beds in each room. The beds were tiny! This irritated me so very much that I took the time to measure the 'queen' beds. They are 51" wide not 60" which is a standard Canadian queen. They were also 6" short of the 80" that meant my husband who is 5'6" was hanging out of the end of the bed. This has never happened to him before and made him feel quite tall. The water that came out of the bathroom tap was browny yellow and horrified my kids, the bath and toilet were clean water but for some reason you had to run the tap water for awhile to get it to run clear so I banned my children from using it we just used bottled water for everything! i still have a lot to say but have run out of letters allowed so do yourself a favour and book elsewhere!!

Very good 8.0
WELL worth the price
I think it was definitely well worth the money and more. The room was not too small, it was well maintained daily and felt very warm, cozy and comfortable. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the bed's mattress was high quality and provided an excellent night's sleep all three nights of our stay. The empty mini fridge was a nice surprise - I was able to store leftovers, and all the drink I brought insead of making trips to the ice machine in order to keep them cold. The Chinese buffet restaurant attached to the lobby was open for lunch and dinner, and was delicious and a lovely dining experience. The hotel itself is an a very convenient location - close to Tim Hortons, convenience stores, restaurants, Shoppers Drugmart, etc. They offer a free, simple breakfast from 6 to 10 am for guests that consists of mostly juice, coffee, tea, chopped and whole fruit, pastries, muffins, toast, and various spreads. The only bad things I have to say about this location are that the WiFi is nearly nonexistent (quite a weak at times,) and the walls are thin - we could hear our neighbors talking from the next room. The door also doesn't keep out any sound, so unfortunately, anything that went on in the hallway within several feet of the door, we could hear clear as a bell. But even with that being said, I would still highly recommend this hotel. It is most absolutely worth $60 per night. Aside from the noise and bad WiFi, our weekend here was most splendid. 4/5.

Poor 2.0
Dishonest and deceptive management
I booked a room with 2 queen beds but when I arrived in the room it was extremely hot and the air conditioner didn't work and it had 2 double beds. I eventually got transferred to another room which was cool enough but it also only had 2 double beds. I told the manager I had a reservation for 2 queen beds and he said there is only 1 room in the hotel with 2 queen beds and it was already taken. I was very upset but stayed anyway since it would have been difficult getting another hotel that late in the day. I phoned about this later and the lady phoned the hotel manager. He told her the original room with the faulty air conditioner did have 2 queens but that was a lie. He tried to sound gracious by offering free breakfast instead but that was a joke since free breakfast was already included in my reservation. Luckily the lady offered me a generous credit on my account to be used for future hotel bookings which made me feel much better. I was also concerned when the hotel put a $200 deposit on top of my room charges on my credit card up front and said the credit card company might not erase that until 2 days after I left. I was tense for the next 2 days until it got erased since I didn't trust the hotel management at all by then. I definitely won't be staying there ever again.

This was the worst hotel experience i have ever had! I had booked a king room to the evening. We were in town early and asked if our room was ready. At first theysaid the room was not ready and tried to move us to a double room, we said no cause we booked a king room. We left and came back and then they said there are no king rooms availableand we had to take a queen room. The whole time they are saying this is Expedia's fault cause you overbooked and dont know what you are booking. I really felt like they were trying to penalize us cause we used a 3rd party booking. They also said that it was Expedia's problem for adusting payment for getting a queen room. The queen room they gave us finally was so dirty, was a non-smoking room, had cigarette butts on the floor, an ashtray and lighter. It looked like it was the room the cleaning staff used to have a quick smoke break. I hope my next experience using Expedia is better then this one. I think it was the hotel and its staff that was crappy but they sure like to but all the blame on Expedia!!!

We arrived and checked in without incident, except noticing the neighborhood was questionable. We chose second floor room, and was dismayed when they told us it's just stairs. We are relatively elderly, and I am disabled. My disability was COPD which caused my dismay. The stairs had me huffin' and puffin'. Bad enough we got into the room to find that all the plugs for lights were not plugged in, and when we resolved that, we discovered that our room phone would not let calls go through in either direction. That was predominant for the whole stay. Sometimes we got the operator, who tried explaining how to disregard the instructions on the phone and don't dial 9 for an outside line. The local number we tried to get began with 9xx-xxxx. Okay, so all that absorbed, I discover my telephone from the US would not make any connections. So we are incommunicado for the stay. Can you believe we still stayed. On the following day, I was offered a comp day of stay. The continental breakfast included (at least) day-old pastries. Coffee was great. Service was very good. I did have occassion to speak to Michele the housekeeping supervisor. I mentioned that she may want to train her workers to remove the used soap from the shower when they cleaned. There was a good point, and that was a games room business next to the motel. It was wary to find a local as the door-man to the motel was sitting on the floor (Passed out and holding a beer). The clerk let him stay there.
