Hotel Metropol Moscow

We chose for the Metropol Hotel cause its a well known hotel and the photos are lovely. When you get there you see How beautiful the lobby is and the team is very friendky. But then you go up and its suuuuuper suuuuuper old and the room we received was “ancient” even the Floor in the bathroom was not even to feel nautious!!! I dont say it wasnt clean but room, bathoom, hall all super super old! For 600€ more we would have received a renovaties room sorry i dont add So much money to already alot of money i gave out to stay there! The hotel is playing on its reputation but is soooooo NOT worth its Price. Wouldnt recommend it enough hotels best the Metropol

I never had such strong urge to name the service staff for poor service. First Unpleasant Incident with Valeria: We checked-in on 31 Oct and had problem with the activation of hotel wifi connection. After calling the receptionist, Valeria, we managed to activate the wifi for one of our devices. I was hung up rudely without a reply after I said thank you and good bye to her. We thought that this is a one-time activation on a per room basis. But we later found out that each device needs to be activated separately calling different number. We called Valeria again and she told us we could dial the number from our hotel room phone to activate our wifi connection, which is totally not true. We tried dialing according to her instruction but it did not work at all. It was a lie. We went down to the reception and requested for help to activate our devices. Before we could activate all our devices for wifi, she suddenly turned away to put away the cordless phone. She questioned us why is it that we cannot activate the wifi on our own. She asked us nastily what is our phone for although we already told her that we were not on roaming.

Less glitzy than the others- more of a Mucovite- not surprising, due to its history. Feel. Staff friendly, and very helpful- if somewhat short of fluency in English( for an international hotel) The place was impeccably clean and the bathrooms well-appointed. Of course, the main hall, used only for breakfast( or for private functions), is splendid; as was the breakfast buffet- more style than the usual 5star hotel chains. Also, it is so convenient for the Metro, Bolshoi, Kremlin and Red Square . I would, certainly, stay there again

A gorgeous old historic hotel, the Metropol is more upscale than where I usually stay when I am traveling. The service was world-class. Each staff member was gracious from housekeeping to wait staff to front desk. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, you should have a drink at the bar, take a tour, or reserve a table in order to experience this Art-Nouveau masterpiece.

I have never had a better experience at any hotel I have ever stayed at! Everything about Metropol was INCREDIBLE and staying here truly made my trip unforgettable. I came with my dog (I was worried about traveling with her for the first time) and I have to note that this is the pet -friendliest hotel ever. Thank you for everything everyone at Metropol did to make sure my dog was also comfortable. Definitely stay here if you are traveling with a pet! Every single staff member was so polite and went above and beyond for the guests and to make sure everyone was taken care of! I will always come back to this hotel. Thank you so much to everyone here. The location, service, and staff were all incredible. I have never seen service of this caliber. The restaurants are delicious! I could go on and on because I truly had the most incredible time in Moscow and the fact that I chose to stay at this hotel had a lot to do with that!
