A quiet retreat right in Victoria
We had a wonderful 3 nights here while in Victoria. Great location in comfortable walking distance to the city with a lovely water view and a great restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our studio apartment was spacious with great views and a large bathroom (which we really appreciated after the compact bathroom on a 7 night cruise)Would definitely recommend

Enjoyed our night here. Could of just sat and watched the goings on in the harbour. Room was very comfortable and staff were all pleasant and accommodating..

Great view - great service
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We were greeted at Reception by Mary who was amazing. We were very tried from our long journey from Australia and Mary saw that and gave us an upgrade to a suite with a separate lounge room and beautiful terrace. The bathroom was fabulous - it was enormous with dual sinks and a separate shower and soaking bath, which was perfect after such a long journey. Mary also answered all our questions, organised a rental car for the following day, suggested restaurants and really went beyond expectation with her service. The hotel is beautifully situated for views of the harbour and it was easy to get everywhere on foot.

Great but to pricey
It’s a beautiful hotel in a very nice area but first they put us in a room with a view very different from the pictures, I payed $315 per night and I wasn’t happy at all, but the next day I complained and they changed us to a room with the view I payed for. Everyone was really nice and helpful but apparently I was charged more by than if I had reserved directly.

Pleasant stay in Erickson wing
The reception welcome area is very old and dated which didn't make for a good first impression. However, the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel in the Erickson wing and we were pleased with our accommodation. The beds were comfortable and the entire suite was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens and harbour. The food at Aura was tasty. The location is a bit of a walk (10-15 min) but close enough to downtown that's it's accessible by foot. Fisherman's wharf is also nearby. I wouldn't recommend the Laurel side of the hotel as apparently it's quite old, dated, and uncomfortable as commented by other hotel guests.
