Double superior room
Easy check in. 24 hour front desk which holds your key for you as you explore the city. The staff was wonderful. There are sex shops but it’s Europe sooo... It never felt sleazy. I felt safe at all times with my boyfriend. More of a local area, just outside of the tourist hotspots. A block or two from the Seine River. Once you reach the river you can walk along either side and see all the sights, notre dame, the louvre, champs elysee, and the eiffel tower. Easy walk to Bastille and the Marais. The Promenade Plantee is right down the block. The hotel was clean. The room is small but after my endless search for hotels, this is standard in Paris. The water pressure was good. A tub with a handheld shower head. Clean bathroom. The bed was firm, but you just pass out after exploring so who cares. We had a double superior room 67 on the sixth floor. There is a small lift/elevator and stairs. There was shower gel and soap provided. One towel and small towels provided. Mini bar and safe. You have the option of using the safe and if you do I believe its 2 euros a night. We did not eat the breakfast so I cannot speak to that. There are grocery stores all around to buy amenities you might have forgot or need. We got a great deal through hotels.com and I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t take picture of the hotel room just the window haha. It is great for what it is worth.

Very good 8.0
I stayed at this hotel for 4 weeks and liked it overall. The location is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to the metro, restaurants, convenience stores, and the river. Also if you are a runner, there is an excellent running track (Coulée verte) just a few blocks away. Few things you should be aware of: 1. Internet connectivity is a disaster. Sometimes it just does not work. You need to constantly re-enter authorization code. It blocks some pages, showing "copyright protection" warning and blocks all WhatsApp voice calls. 2. If your room is facing the courtyard, you will need to sleep with your windows closed. There is a restaurant downstairs sharing the courtyard and around midnight they start doing dishes making lot of noise. Then they open around 6 am, also making some noise which will probably will wake you up. 3. There is a good A/C in the room but some controls are locked. You can switch it on and off and chose the temperature but you could not change air direction and intensity. When you sleep it blows cold air right into your face. But I like this hotel overall and if they fix the Internat would stay there again.

Exceptional 10.0
This hotel is wonderful for the price. 5 minute walk to gare de lyon and the metro. Get anywhere in the city 20 mins or less. Staff was friendly and neighborhood is safe for solo and family travelers. They have a breakfast every morning with meats, cheeses, breads, and cereals. However we would just eat at the train station before we hit the metro. The rooms are fine you get all the standard amenities like tv, mini fridge, blow dryer. My personal cons were the shower and the bed. The shower is just awkward. No curtain or anything so water ends up all over the floor. Shower head was bad. Otherwise just okay. The mattresses are very very very firm but nothing that really bothered me. Overall I still give this hotel an A+ and reccomend it to my budget travelers out there.

Good 6.0
It's somewhat dated, and smelled of smoke. The woman who checked me in was fairly pleasant on my first day, but every interaction I had with her afterwards left a bad taste in my mouth. She was quite rude and would leave me feeling stupid for trying to speak with her in French (a language I studied in for 11 years in immersion). She also gave me a 'what's wrong with you' look when I went to give her my room key before I left for the day (which she told me that you had to do when you leave). The rest of the staff were kind and pleasant. There are safes in the rooms, but you have to rent the lock at around $2-3 euro per day. It was quite loud on the street at night, so not great for people that have trouble sleeping with noise. I didn't try my earplugs, so I'm not sure if that would have helped. It was a nice location, but I don't know if I would stay there again.

The hotel was a bit more 'rustic' than the pictures showed. The room was very basic, white walls, bed, stool (no chair). There was no side table by the bed but instead a small piece of wood stuck to the wall the size of my cellphone. It said there was a safe in the room, but there wasn't. The washroom/shower also had no door. If you are looking for just a place to sleep this was fine.
