Pure Bliss!
Excellent simply isn't enough. We planned a 10 day holiday, originally expecting to stay in different hotels as we moved about, how glad am I that we opted to make our nightly returns to this wonderful hotel. Our experience with the Minerva began before our arrival. Alessia quickly and with great detail responded to my email inquiries making our travel transition from airport to Hotel seamless and stress free. The Piazza Santa Maria Novella is your first glimpse of your Home Away from Home & your excitement starts to build. Your car door opens to attentive attendants that stand at the ready to tend to your bags and welcome you into the well appointed, elegant Lobby. It Is at this point as you try to take in the subtle, sexy elegance that is the Minerva, you realize you are in for something special. A fact solidified as you move to Reception and are greeted by a Front of the House Staff that is beyond warm and accommodating. What struck me most was how they worked as a team handling the many details required of foreign travel check in, all the while getting to know us & making us feel so welcome! Daily, we gave Margherita & Marianna a run for their money with our inquiries & itineraries & they ALWAYS met the challenge. The room - Nirvana! SPACIOUS, immaculately kept, stunning view, gorgeous bathroom & a walk in closet. Don't miss breakfast & the lovely staff that spoils you EVER! Drinks at the Bar before or after dinner a must! Already dreaming of our return!

Convenient location and great customer service!
Customer service was excellent! Shout out to the first woman receptionist who assisted us (I think it was Ashley or something start with an A). She showed me the room before deciding to opt it and to the bar manager who helped us on our to go breakfast (when we needed to get out the hotel super early due to an early train ride to Rome). Also to Christina from the food and restaurant department. She was very friendly and super helpful. Most of all to the cleaning crews, they made sure that our family suite room was clean and tidy. Thank for the wonderful customer service experience. You made my kids indeed very happy on their Christmas vacation. We had a nice front view from the room and roof top view was amazing too.

Lovely property in the center of Florence. Pros: Fantastic location, walkable to all the major sights and within 5 min walk of the Firenze SMN Train Station. Located on a charming piazza. Hotel was super clean and very tastefully decorated. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke great English. Included breakfast was impressive, buffet but with cooked egg (scrambled or boiled), bacon/sausage, pancake, rice, veggie options and many cold offerings including baked goods, cold meat and cheeses, cereal, yogurt etc.. Lovely rooftop pool and sitting areas, with great views of the city including the Duomo. Indoor seated area as well with similar views. Very clean. Rooms tasteful and large sized. Well sound proofed - we overlooked the piazza and did not get street noise (including the bells!) Included WIFi with good speed. Cons: Only real comment was that the food and laundry charges were a bit high even for the location.

Elegant Oasis in the Piazza di Santa Maria Novella
We only stayed one night at the end of a trip through Tuscany. However, grand Hotel Mineva ended our trip on a high note. We had reserved a triple room. We arrived early and the room was not ready. While the bellman was getting our luggage from the car, the front desk upgraded us to a very roomy and nicely appointed Junior suite which was immediately available. That made it easy for us to refresh, then return our rental car and start our afternoon of sightseeing. The hotel is ideally located directly on the piazza next to the church of Santa Maria Novella. It is central to restaurants, shopping, the river, and all of the major sights in Florence. In the morning, it was just an easy 5 minute walk with our luggage to the SMN train station. We would definitely return to grand hotel Minerva for a longer stay next trip.

Fantastic Stay - we must return!
Grand Hotel Minerva saved us from an otherwise would be horrific trip to Florence. We found ourselves in a rented house with broken heating system and lukewarm warm water in the middle of the winter – FYI, still in dispute with the popular unicorn site after two weeks; I will never use it again. Luckily, we found this hotel nearby, what a major upgrade! Check in was a breeze – they let us check in much earlier. The hotel was clearly updated and well maintained. Modern stylish restaurant and bar onsite. The location was fantastic. Right next to Santa Maria Novella Church, within 15 mins walk to Uffizi, Boboli garden, Pitti Palace and the world-famous Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. An abundance of great restaurants nearby. The room was spotless, spacious bathroom with lush thick towers. View from the rooftop is priceless – you have all Florence under your eyes! The rooftop pool and bar are closed for winter, I can imagine how wonderful it would be in summer time. We’ll be coming back for sure. Please keep up the good work!
