Friendliness of the owners, Geraldine & Victor, coziness of their lodge, excellent breakfast buffet, clean accommodations. The “extra’s” In the room fridge- real milk for my tea and liter of water, also fresh cookies. Highly recommend the Hazelwood Lodge.

Beautiful location just outside the village of Ballyvaughan. The guest room was extremely spacious with king bed & two comfortable chairs for lounging. The host was courteous & available to answer any questions about the area. Breakfast was made to order. Superb waffles. Food is sourced locally. I would stay here again.

Wonderful quiet and quaint lodge walking distance to the cutest little village. Easy drive north to Galway or south to Shannon; Cliffs of Moher and and all the little towns between. Onsite owners and hosts are delightful. The breakfasts included with the stay are absolutely delish, farm fresh, and gourmet! Absolutely recommend.

It's the small touches

Apart from the stellar room, there was a lot of attention paid to the small things. The couple running the place addressed me by name, the sheets and towers smelt super fresh, toiletries were really good and a lot of other thoughtful details. Place was very welcoming and outstandingly clean. Ballyvaughan is a bit of a drive to the Cliffs of Moher but I really liked the location. The a la carte breakfast is outstanding. Will definitely come back here if I visit Ireland again.

This is a wonderful lodge in a fantastic location in the Burren. Walking trails directly outside the lodge. The rooms are well apportioned; the area quiet and most convienent for exploring the entire Burren region. The owners are warm, welcoming and most gracious making the stay the best we experienced in our two week journey through Ireland. Can’t recommend this lodge enough. The Florida Keys family
