Poor 2.0
I reserved two nights. I was pleased with my room, it met my expectations but I got quite the surprise on my second to last day. I had went downstairs with a friend which was of African American Descent like myself. When I got downstairs to lower level I had a worker for the hotel approach me and say no pictures by pool, I went to the pool the day before so I read sign & was aware of policy, I smiled & said I am aware. He led us to garden area where he said we can take photos if we wish. I thanked him and went the way I was directed, moments later another member of hotel approached me and told me no photos, I told him that his coworker directed me this way, but agreed upon it because I don't like confrontation. I was then followed by 3-4 workers/security every step I took in garden. I felt so uncomfortable sitting in garden moments later I went up to my room and called hotel management. The manager seemed pretty sincere and told me if I wanted dinner on the hotel because of my experience. I already had both lunch and dinner my previous night but I was willing to give it a try. I was then called by the director who had a "jokingly personality" Idk if he thought he was talking to a child but he kept saying things sarcastic, I made him very aware that I know policy, I follow rules so the fast talk about me possibly doing something wrong did not apply. He did end up offering a $200 food/beverage credit to replace the dinner option but I was totally disappointed in service.

Very good 8.0
Beverly Hills Hotel adequate but not worth the $s
I looked forward to my stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel. It has history and class, a great pool area and beautiful people. Staff was first class. I've stayed at 5 star hotels frequently, but I found BH Hotel to be excessively expensive when it came to food and beverages. A basic breakfast will cost about $35, if you add a latte, it will be about $50. Dinner in the Polo Dining area was also excessively expensive, especially when compared to some of the greatest restaurants in world are within walking distance. The room mid priced room was small, without any view to speak of and the entertainment system didn't work. Perhaps, the bungalows are better. I asked for delivery of a newspaper to my room in the morning and was advised they would do that, it didn't show up. Most of my issues are minor, but for the price, they're magnified. Obviously, the BH Hotel, is full of beautiful, wealthy and maybe even some famous folks, but that is not a priority with my needs.

Experience to remember for a lifetime
I had decided to treat my sister to a relaxing overnight stay at the beverly hills hotel for her birthday as a surprise. Sounds pretty standard right?? But the staff at Beverly Hills Hotel took what would have been a standard overnight to something so specular. It was just beyond our expectations. We were surprised by our upgraded room. The details to attention was exceptional. We received a beautiful and wonderfully tasteful chocolate cake with champagne. I could really go on on about the exceptional service of the hotel staff. Staying at this hotel is not just about getting away, it is truly a experience. I can't begin to write the words for how amazing our stay was. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Beverly Hills Hotel that made this stay so magical.

Tips are added to the bills. When we asked what the “additional charge” was they acted like they had no idea & eventually said it was gratuity. Some bell hop said “right this war sir.. i mean ma’am” to me in front of people & giggled. I’m very obviously female. Only ever have been a female. That was quite inappropriate. I’m 5’9 125 lbs & not unattractive. Maybe it was because he was petite & insecure about that? As soon as we got there the guy that brought the luggage to our room was tipped nicely. Said he would be right back with a large ice bucket.. never saw him again. The blow dryer was a cheap piece of junk. Other than that the grounds are immaculate. The hotel is stunning and clean. The toiletries were absolutely delightful. Some of the staff was professional and polite. Only worth staying once for the price. Unless you’re insanely wealthy. I’d expect better care by some staff.

Iconic hotel, a must stay!
We came to celebrate 25th anniversary from Laguna Beach. Nostalgic LA iconic hotel....could use a good power wash, but beautiful. Complementary upgrade and superb service overall, other than the pool area. Was crowded & understaffed (we didn't complain), so we didn't get any service, but we made the best of it at the pool bar, with a very nice bartender. Our luggage got misplaced (it happens), they gave us comp Champagne for the inconvenience. Dinner @ Polo lounge was superb, omg the friend chicken!!! Manager called me immediately after checkout to apologize for the pool experience and offered to pay pool bill plus extra perks next time we visited. This is living up to the reputation of this hotel and why we'll be back.
