Fabulous 8.6 From 287 reviews

Very good 8.0
Excellent location
Very convenient location on Montmartre hill. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and cafes, very pretty places. However, the room is quite small and no fridge, so it’s quite tight for 2 people. I assume you have to compromise yourself for which is your priority. The breakfast is okay, but could offer more variety on different days. Overall, enjoy stay here

Very nice hotel in a great area of Paris.
The Timhotel is five minutes walk from Sacre-Coeur and five minutes walk from the Metro, so in a very good position. The rooms are small but that didn't bother us as we hadn't gone to Paris to stay indoors. The beds are very comfortable and warm, the heat is adjustable, everything is clean and quite modern, even though the building must be quite old. The staff is very nice and competent and they all speak English and are ready to help with any requests (some other guests asked to have a taxi pick them up to go to the airport on a certain day and the concierge set it up right away). A small nuisance is that the room doors are all keycard operated and very heavy, and bang with a loud noise when left to close on their own - which can bother you if you are asleep and other guests are not considerate enough to hold the door and close it slowly. The only reason I gave the hotel 4 stars is the speed of the wifi connection. It is good enough to check out information online and read your email, but for more serious usage - like file upload/download for those of us who work remotely - it is quite bad. It took me more than one hour to upload a 25 MB file one night, then it was a bit faster because, I guess, some guests had left. I also had a conference call in which it was impossible to make myself understood; I could hear what the others were saying but they told me I was breaking up all the time. So just make sure you don't take on-line work with you if you go to Paris!

Home away from home in charming location
2 weeks. Very friendly staff, welcoming, helpful, gave good advice on local restaurants, directions, etc. Safe and nice to come back to, when sightseeing all day as you are greeted warmly. A homey, low-key hotel, NOT luxurious, but pleasant and fantastic location in a relatively quiet part of Montmartre, good places to eat nearby and cafes, bars, etc. Walk to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer or escape their cheesier surrounding shops, con artists, etc. You are in area where artists and writers created great works. Room's only lack was a fridge in the room (for a snack or milk for coffee) tho there was an electric kettle for coffee. Not a place for divas who want huge rooms and luxurious decoration and spas, but very reasonable rates for Paris. To consider: the nearest Metro station when I was there in May 2017 had about 136 steps to the trains (escalator broken). If arriving from the airport you might want to take a taxi because of this and many hills and stairs and cobblestones in Montmartre (unless you have a light backpack only). Breakfast is a little pricey (13.50 Euros) if you don't have it included in your rate, but has eggs, fruit, yogurt, pastries, baguettes, ham, etc. so you can survive til dinner on it. Coffee is instant, so you are going to have to go out for small cups in cafes at 4.50 euros. I would definitely come back for the friendly staff and the pleasant neighbourhood, and safe walk any time to Metro (about 1/2 mile? to station, check on map) anywhere.

Exceptional 10.0
Everything was amazing at Timhotel Montmartre! My husband and I were so pleased with our decision to book with this amazing hotel! The location was perfect; the hotel looks out onto a quiet and peaceful courtyard instead of a busy street. It is also very close to a metro station, but since Paris is fairly compact compared to other larger cities, you can walk to a few of the main tourist attractions comfortably from this location too. Even though Montmartre can be very touristy at times, this hotel was a few streets over from the main tourist locations and therefore was quiet and peaceful at all times; especially at night. Even so, there were still plenty of quaint shops and cafes nearby. But maybe even better than the location was the staff and service! All of the staff deserve a big congratulations and we couldn't have been happier with the service they provided! I could go on and on! From the front desk to the cleaning services, we couldn't have been more thankful for the wonderful service at this hotel! The breakfast provided was wonderful and had a large selection of fresh and delicious options every morning. Well worth it! Our entire room was updated, and the decor was very classy. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't have need for anything in our room. What else is there to say? I'm sure I missed something, but I can assure you that you can't go wrong with booking at this hotel, you will not be disappointed!

Great service, even better location
We enjoyed this hotel. The front desk agents were extremely helpful. They made securing an airport shuttle very easy and answered all of our questions. The rooms are fairly small, but bright and airy. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was slow, but adequate for checking e-mail and streaming Youtube on our phones. The only downside to the room was the shower. It was VERY small. My wife and I are both under 6 ft and fairly skinny, but both of us still found it a very tight fit. On the other hand, the water pressure from the shower head made us feel like Kramer in that episode of Seinfeld with the black market shower heads. Best water pressure ever! On the downside again, there was a little bit of mold in the shower. The rest of the room was spotless, however. The location can't be beat. It's right in the heart of Montmartre. We could open our windows and hear the sounds of people at cafes and live music. Very dreamy. It's also a stone's throw from Sacré-Cœur, so if you can handle climbing the steps, it's an ideal spot! We'd stay here again.
