Overall, not bad
The staff was friendly enough, but the room was where it was lacking. We were on the ground floor and our room smelled of mildew, the floor had “dust bunnies” as though it hadn’t been properly swept, and we found a dead palmetto bug in front of the bathroom when we returned from the parks. As a Floridian I know palmetto bugs can be unavoidable, but still not something I’d prefer to see in my hotel room. Otherwise the room was clean, well furnished, and in good condition. The table and chairs were very handy for unpacking and the air conditioning worked well. The close proximity to the parks was a big plus, and the little shop with fairly reasonably priced snacks was a godsend at the end of a long day at the parks. Overall, I’d stay here again if on a tight budget.
