Management not thinking properly.
We had a nice stay. The receptionist were all very nice. But we were surprised that whilst the coffee satchets were being replaced every day the bottle of water was not! When we asked the receptionist we were informed that it was management policy not to replace the bottle of water for each extra day the guest stayed. So when we came back to the hotel late at night after a show, we were expected to manage with 1 bottle of water from the fridge which was chargeable between the two of us or fill water from the tap in the toilet which we were not keen to do! I have not found this attitude in any other hotel and I was shocked at this pettiness all for less than 1 Euro!

Poor 2.0
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. When we check in our first impression of the lobby that it looked dated and I thought this was supposed to be a 4 Star hotel I guessed wrong. The Hallway to the rooms are very dark hard to see where you are going. Our first room looked like it wasn’t clean for MONTHS! Stains on the carpet everywhere, was afraid we were going to get fungi on our feet. The smell of the room was so bad you can’t even be in the room for long without gagging. The wall paint was peeling off and in the bathroom had mold EVERYWHERE. The room was very small you can’t move especially with two big staircases. We came back after exploring Paris to find ourselves we couldn’t go to sleep the smell was giving us a headache. We tried call the front desk no answer so we figured to go downstairs to change rooms. We waited for 10 minutes no elevator so we had to take the stairs 5 flights of staris at 12 am and we had to go back up after taking to the reception. The guy downstairs was understanding and gave us a room not too far from the other room. The second room did not smell, and the carpet was still dirty but what can you do. The bathroom did have mold and the really bad smell maybe the smell is from the mold, who knows! The rest of the stay was okay but our first impression ruined our stay. This hotel is falling apart, it definitely needs a renovation then it would be a 4 Star hotel its more of a 1 Star. The only thing I would give this hotel is the price, THAT IS IT!

Mostly I had a present stay at the hotel itself but I had a terrible experience after checking out because of the taxi which I asked for the reception to call one for me. I previously mentioned the reception that I would like to take a taxi to Opera since I would take a Roissy bus to the airport, when I checked out in the morning. I came back to the hotel around 4.30pm as I mentioned in order to collect my luggage and ask for a taxi. It came in 5 minutes. Right after I rode on the taxi, I asked the driver to take me to Opera. Then, the driver suddenly got angry and said why not to take the taxi to the airport. He said he waited for 45 minutes and he normally works only for a long distance ride, like the city center to the airport, as if I am a rude person. He said you are business traveler and 50 euros is nothing for the company. Then I had to explain more than 5 minutes that my company pay only for public transportation and I cannot be afford 50 euros. I also said that I asked the reception to the taxi to Opera. He tried to persuade me to take a ride to the airport again and again. Finally he stopped talking and take me to Opera. It costed 15 euros. It is very difficult to understand why this happened though I asked the reception to a taxi to Opera previously. I have no idea if the reception person and the driver have some deals or only the taxi driver from G7 taxi company being so selfish. It must not be happened if the reception mentioned my destination.

Disloyal to repeat guests
This was my third stay in a row at this hotel. Upon arrival I had to wait 20 minutes while the receptionist, a woman from Latin America was arguing with a guest. When it was my turn I told her that perhaps for being a loyal customer for three consecutive years I could get an upgrade. Silence from the receptionist, then I went up to the room I discovered it was the worst room I have ever been to. Tiny and anyone using the stairs will be heard clearly. When I asked to speak to the manager, the same receptionist told me he was busy. When I came back later, I was told the manager a certain monsieur Damian was not available. The following day when I complained about the room, another receptionist gave me a different room. I will never stay at this hotel in the future.

Pleasant stay on La Fayette
I requested a courtyard view room as reviews said much quieter then facing the street..I was given room 618 which is on the top floor and facing the street & intersection.I found it was quiet if I kept the windows closed and the air con on.The coffee/tea replenishment is done by different person around 11am so if your room is not cleaned by then you don't get more coffee/tea but if you ask at reception they give to you from the bar. There is only 1 elevator and can be a wait sometimes so need to be aware of this. The map they give you at check in has the area near to the hotel whited out with Lafayette so be careful as very easy to get lost.I had to get to pyramid and google directions were not correct and try to give you the shortest route but with 8 turns whereas I found a bit longer walk via opera.
