Property conditions & facilities

6/10 Good

Not booking again
Room: The room was spacious. There are carpets inside the hotel and the room which are not hygienic to be honest. It all looked clean but it’s still not nice to have carpets in general. Comfort: The bed was comfortable, but the mattresses of the double bed were not well placed together so a gap formed in the middle. This can easily be solved with a large bed sheet on top or some more pressure from the sides to keep the mattresses together. The pillows (there were 4) were pure air and very uncomfortable. The room itself was at normal temperature but it was unclear how heating worked. Cleanliness: The rooms also smelled like smoke, mine not as much as my colleagues who stayed a few doors down from me. Service: The room service team started knocking on doors on my floor at 8am which woke me up. They did this on my check-out day which I find very odd and unpleasant. Someone knocked at 8:37am and tried to enter the room (I had locked my door) and then someone came again at around 9:30am. Check-out was at 12pm that day so I don’t understand why they had to come twice to wake me up so early.

10/10 Exceptional

Great stay
We were in town for the Berlin Marathon and looking for a hotel close to the start/finish area. This hotel was perfect. Rooms were clean and decent sized, hotel staff was friendly and the hotel is very close to shopping and food and train station. Also, the Brandenburg Gate is only a couple blocks away. Breakfast is not free, but its an excellent buffet so thats probably why. Seriously some of the best waffles i have ever had! We also used the pool and sauna which were a very nice addition. The pool area is kept very clean. All in all a great experience for the price we paid. Would definetly stay here again.

2/10 Poor

room triggered asthma staff didnt care . infested
Room was infested with bedbugs/mosquitos, suana and steam room didn’t work for 5 days and they lied to say it was fixed three times and was working every day. Got eaten alive by the infestation was wide awake at 4am in the morning. Staff refused to move me to another room, told me i should buy my own spray. Then said they could use a hoover to get rid of the bugs. staff (woman with the curly brown hair who claimed to be the team leader ) was the rudest staff i have ever encountered with . shouted at made her teary in front of customer then shouted at me. after lowing and saying there was no rooms available i checked online and there were rooms and i walked pass the empty rooms. The guy said if we move you to another room the next guest will get bitten.! absolutely shocking . move me to another room out of spite it had a strong mouldy smell was extremely dusty and triggered off my asthma. I explained this staff didn’t care i had asthma and was struggling to breathes it was awful and scary. Staff laugh at me twice when i approached reception like bullies. At breakfast i asked for a pancake a women interrupted the guy who was about to make the pancake and said it’s not working. Then she told him off and 1 mins later turned off the pancake maker . i don’t eat meat so was limited for choice in berlin
