Not 9.4 rating in my book but OK
Don’t expect much in the way of breakfast, housekeeping or front desk concierge help and you probably won’t be disappointed. Our trash can was full when we checked in and it wasn’t until the next day that we found out we needed to request daily maid service if we wanted it (because of COVID). The hotel is newer so it’s in pretty good condition and the room was a nice size and bed was comfortable. It is within walking distance to some good restaurants and plenty of shopping.

Beautiful modern hotel could be outstanding
The room overall okay with a comfy bed. I noticed that there were a lot of fingerprints and hair in the corner of the shower. The shower door had water stains. The workout equipment was excellent, but no disinfectant wipes in the room. More attention to detail is needed with glass windows and doors. The breakfast area coffee was cold and microwave dirty. The bananas that were set out were rotten. The eating area clean. The rug was curled on corners making it a fall hazard though. The manager very sweet and I gave her things to consider fixing. I could not stay here again unfortunately.

Positive: Lady at the front desk was great! Very accommodating. Negative: PILES of trash by ice machine on 4th floor. I called to let them know....trash still there following morning. It was disgusting! Called Marriott “800” number and spoke with a representative. He told me to check my email when we got off the phone....nothing. Well played Marriott

Unfortunate
My rooms tv and lights in the front half of the room by the kitchen did not work.... The lights by the bed and bathroom were the only ones that worked. I got back from dinner and just wanted to unwind and watch tv and it didn't work and I did not want to have to change rooms at 10pm...

The hotel is Exactly what we expected, the selling point is the location, near to most of the Restaurants and stores, we stayed for 8 nights during the evacuation from Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles, the hotel is set up just like mini studio apartment with little pantry and big fridge also the coin laundry is available, we go to gym daily and it was nice, the pool is small but it’s convenient enough for our 8 years old son, we were Happy.
