Overheated Rooms
The room was exceedingly hot as there was NO AIR/CON we were told by a young girl on reception to unplug the coffee machine to keep the room cooler!! and put a bucket of ice in front of the fan to keep the room cool!! Seriously we are living in the 20th Century.....Aren't We!!!!

Best location
Great location, good old days feeling in the manor, very friendly service at the reception desk and cleaning girls but the breakfast is disappointing.

Beautiful setting
This hotel is in a awesome location, in a very charming setting and has the most friendly staff possible. The room we got and the reception desk are defnitely ready for renovation, but clean sheets and bathroom is pretty much all what we need on a place like Victoria, so we were absolutely fine, specially for the price we paid.

A pleasant surprise!
We had an excellent stay over the May long weekend. We enjoyed two nights in the Balmoral suite due to a fortunate circumstance provided by the hotel. We had originally booked the Newcastle room. The suite was perfect for us. Our kids would have spent the whole weekend in the room if we had allowed it. However, the hotel was in such an excellent location we spent one afternoon to the West of the hotel at the breakwater and house boats and one day to the east at Beacon hill park and the museum. We walked everywhere and were able to keep our car parked in the hotel’s parking garage. The staff were friendly and helpful and we found everything in the hotel clean and in working condition. We will definitely be back!
