Novum Hotel Graf Moltke Hamburg

For us it was so convenient across the road from the bus station and the hauptbahnhof. Many food options, supermarkets and sightseeing walking distance.

Everything we requested for before arrival was ignored. We asked for a double bed in a higher floor/quiet room. We were given single beds opposite each other on the first floor directly above the lobby entrance where everyone smokes, so if we open the window the smell comes into our room. The room is super noisy during the day and quite seedy being near the hbf. When we asked for a double bed room we were told there were none, and that all the room configuration is single beds like our room. We walked pass someone’s room and guess what. There’s a double bed. Why do you need to lie instead of just saying there’s no more double bed left?? When I booked I specifically chose “double bed” room, and we requested this months in advance! The only positive is the location since it’s so close to the central station. Staff are so rude and grumpy, very unaccomodating and unhelpful. Never again. I would suggest staying at Generator Hostel instead just across the street, it looked much cleaner, newer and more comfortable if you have to wait around in the lobby like we did for our night travel.

Good location. Walking distance to central train station and lots of eating places/shops close by. Would stay here again. Breakfast was good. Room and bathroom were on the smallish side. No aircon in our room but being spring time, we could open window and enjoyed light breeze.

Dishonest people from the Novotel graf hotel as they denied my request of cancellation (because of the Covid) before the check-in and they cashed all the money. I did everything in order to cancel the booking as a customer. They didn’t refund despite clear terms through hotels.com. They refused categorically the cancellation without any communication to me . Don’t book at this hotel!!!!!! I complain against them to the European consumer rights naming also hotels.com. I will continue to tell story into the social networks including hotels.com as thé latter didn’t manage to find an agreement with the hotel despite my many calls. I spent 15 euros by phone to call US customer service. Hotels .com website, as an intermediary, must find an agreement with the hotel as the hotel breached the cancellation terms but hotels.com didn’t find any agreement. I must myself negotiate with the hotel. Do not book to Novum graf hotel in Hamburg.

Room was quite dusty. Other than that, there’s no major complaints. The buffet makes the price a lot more worth it.

Central location, clean tidy room, breakfast fine. Good central location and a good base for a few days visit.. would stay again 😀

On arrival, receptionist wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t give us any information ( safe in room etc)

Good breakfast. Good value for cost. Outside in the plaza area there are homeless sleeping though
