The double bed was two singles joined together and both were so worn and sunk in my back was in bits after a four day stay!! The hotel was in a good location with polite staff who were happy to help. Breakfast on the roof was nice if you could get a table or inside was ok. Tried to use the bar at night but was told there was no tables free although there was only two people in there at the time.

Overall my stay was really great! The room was impeccably clean, staff was nice and helpful, room was very spacious and bed really comfortable. As for the location, in my opinion simply the best! Only thing I didn’t like so much was their approach during breakfast. I know currently situation isn’t helping and they need to change a bit the service but I think they could give a second thought on that. Guest a supposed to make a line close to buffet area. Then we choose and get served by her. I understand that there’s only one person handling the food but we were all together waiting. Wearing masks but the situation was a bit uncomfortable. Not only, it wasn’t clear what they had for choosing because we could not get close to check. And the worse was the food waste. When you having someone else serving you, they don’t really know how much you would like to be eating. But, other than that, it was an amazing stay! Really recommend!!

This hotel is in a really good location – within easy walking distance of the old town. Parking is available in the hotel basement, at a cost of €20 per night. The décor is very old-fashioned. Our bedrooms were clean but a bit too hot and stuffy; however, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really just average (including the coffee, which was surprisingly very poor) … but I suspect they were short of staff on the morning we were there – as they were really struggling to clear the tables and replenish food. We would have liked a nightcap when we returned from dinner but there was no proper bar downstairs. Overall, I would say this is more a 3* rather than a 4* hotel.
