Poor 2.0
Bad experience in Williamsburg
On checking in, the sign at the front desk stated all must wear a mask. The desk clerk did not have one, nor did the clerk in the morning on checking out. The first room assigned was occupied! Then we went to a room with no working tv or phone. Third room was almost good, but no tv channel guide. After a trip to the desk to get one, it was finally delivered to the room. It did not match the tv at all! Overall experience was extremely poor.

Exceptional 10.0
Nice hotel, convenient location.
I had read some poor reviews of this hotel and wondered what we were getting into. But from the parking lot to the lobby to the room and for the next 3 days, we liked it just fine. Room didn't smell "hotelly." It was clean, calm and welcoming. Lobby staff was great. This was during the pandemic so a lot of things were reduced, but they did what they could. I saw a lot of criticism about the plumbing, and it's true - the water pressure on the 3rd floor where we were was fairly weak in the shower, though not the regular tub faucet. I took a nice hot bath and it was great. The shower was certainly bearable. The toilet was the "slow-flush" type but it worked too. Two suggestions I would make: PLEASE put some USB ports in the rooms. We brought 2 cell phone and 2 charging cords but only one adapter. If there had been a USB port we wouldn't have had to share the adapter. Second, we got fresh towels and trash dumped the first full day we were there but not the second, and when we called, we were told to leave towels and trash outside the door. No one had told us this and there were no room cards or anything to this effect. We know it's fairly standard, but you should make sure guests know nonetheless. It is a very good hotel - not luxurious but very far from a dump. We have already recommended it to some friends.

Not a bad hotel for less than $100.

I’ll be back
The wifi kept dropping out, the remote wouldn’t turn on the TV and one of the elevators appeared to be out of order. We’ve stayed here many times and intend to do so in the future. I look forward to the end of this CoVID crap and the return to full staffing and services.

Pitiful
I was put on the backside and it appears people actually live in some of the rooms.....all the doors were left open I did not feel safe there. My room pretty sure the bed was broken. The bathroom wall had a hole in it above the toilet and the bathtub tile was cracked down the middle and had big screws to keep it up......was the worst I have ever stayed at. No towels either were left so had to make another trip to the front desk and was told there was a towel shortage WHAT!? so I got a pool towel. My dogs stay at a better place then this when left behind.

Fire alarm was going off and when we tried to find out what was going on the person working the desk totally ignored me and all the calls that were coming in. Also tried a garbage bag from front desk and she was too busy doing her hair to acknowledge us standing there for over 5 miniutea. So front desk needs work on customer service skills otherwise it was a great stay.

Poor 2.0
It was terrible the first night we find a bathing suit in our bathroom when we go to take a shower but they clean the room then a dog and our room across from us bark all day-long and the dog in the room next to him kept answering, the grab-and-go breakfast you might get a muffin a granola bar and a juice sometimes they had juice sometime they didn't you never knew what you was getting in those bags try to cook on the microwave a kept losing power the pool was open in the rain then on a clear day they shut it down try to dress a problem with one of the women working there and she got smart it was so bad we check out early

My girlfriend and I just checked out today, and we will never come back! We come to Williamsburg at least once a year and love it, but this was terrible!! WiFi was spotty all 5 days we were there, there were outlets coming out of the wall, the bathroom vent was broken, the fire alarm went off twice during our stay (once at 5:20 in the morning) just to mention a few things. We called the front desk two days in a row and asked for new sheets to be put on our bed, and we ended up having to go down and get our own sheets and put them on. Elevator inspection is dead, and to top it off, housekeeping tried to come in and clean our room this morning at 9:30 am when checkout is not until 12. The room itself was not terrible, and had it not been for that, we would have left early! There are definitely better hotels to stay at in the area!
