8/10 Very good

Keep going back
Nice place. Use the South Grant Underground Parking place 1 block away. Save $16 a night. Breakfast at the Congress gives you more food than you want paying less than you will anywhere around. I would eat there instead of many of the local hotels or local breakfast spots in the area.

6/10 Good

Memorable excursion but would not stay here again
The hotel was in an accessible location but, as other reviews said the rooms really need an update. Bar-style and loud bathroom toilet, broken tiles, had to rig the drain so the shower water would go down and the bathroom door did not shut. Not a super relaxing stay. The area does not feel safe at all. The hotel room itself felt safe but outside is not a good place for a family trip or a calm vacation.

4/10 Fair

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
This was terrible. The whole place was dirty and just a down-in-the-dumps over all feeling. Bathroom was not well cleaned and very gross. There was 0 enthusiasm from any of the employees and the bar was super expensive for bad service and poor quality drinks. Food was awful. Like really bad. It was no where near worth the price.

2/10 Poor

A place to go when the underpass is full
Everything seems like a chore to get done for example getting a shower chair for my disabled girlfriend in both rooms, we were moved to another room that had a more handicapped accessible shower one bar in the shower does not make a room handicap accessible, the second room was better as the lights did not flicker in that room but you can definitely tell the walls were peeling and chipping away, we did not get a shower chair in the second room even though it was requested twice, I have stayed in many hotels and that had to be the dirt worst. Housekeeping disturbed us on our last day even though our do not disturb sign was clearly visible on our door, the channel selection on the television was lacking, Bill hops were exceptionally good as was the doorman able to get us a taxi

6/10 Good

The cleaning staff banged on our door at 9am each morning and when I answered just said “oh sorry, just doing my count”. Of what?? Why can I hear you screaming down this entire hallway while my DND sign is on the door? Rooms were clean but mildewy and there was no fan in the bathroom to pull away the moisture. A cute place on the surface but rundown underneath.

Meh…
The staff at the front desk at check-in was rude. The room could have been cleaned better, there was glitter all over the floor and we saw someone’s used contact lens in the carpet.
