Profile: Tsim Sha Tsui

Tsim Sha Tsui in southern Kowloon is a shopper’s paradise. Meander along Nathan Road’s “golden mile” to find a colorful and chaotic mix of glitzy jewelry, snazzy electronics, international name-brand stores, and Asian street-label boutiques mingled with enticing flavors wafting from the area’s many ethnic restaurants.

When you’re ready for a break from the hustle and bustle, take a stroll along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. You’ll pass the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Hong Kong Space Museum along the way, as you drink in breathtaking views of the Hong Kong Island skyline towering above Victoria Harbour.

    Great location small room

The hotel is situated in prime location with a short walk to the Harbour and a MTR station across the street. Check in was easy and the staff nice. The hotel is older and could do with a refreshen up. The room is small but as a couple it stored the bags ok and did what it was designed for . There is a self service laundry on the property. The price was ok for the hotel and area. Don’t expect the Hilton as you get what you are prepared to pay for. They hold your bags for 10 Hong Kong dollars after the 11am check out which is handy Overall it was a good stay .

For the price we paid and what was available, it was expensive. The location was great but when we got to the hotel, the staff didn’t smile, hardly acknowledged me (unsure if she was new), room was old, view is bad (in all 3 rooms we booked, but this is minor and can’t be helped), carpet was old, kettle wouldn’t switch off automatically, no soap or shampoo or tissues, only toilet paper sparingly, you would have to get housekeeping daily to get enough toilet paper, maybe people take the rolls out because some toilets don’t provide paper. Plastic spoons... come on...

    Never staying here again

The hotel is definitely a 3 stars or 2 stars quality. The service was bad, front desk people we talked to didn’t seem to care much. As you walked out of the lift to your floor, we get this bad odour, bad start. The room was tiny as expected in HK, but the room had a mouldy smell, bed was super firm but for me just tolerable, luckily pillow was good and fortunately the shower water pressure was good and the bathroom clean. Though the carpet looks dirty even though they clean it everyday when you ask it. They give you small size towel that smells like bleach. We had not much choice to choose from when we booked hotel for Hong Kong due to last minute booking unfortunately. I did not like the area, as foreigners every time you walk in or walk out of the hotel you get bombarded by Indian guys trying to sell you stuff, which is super annoying. It is however, quite close to an MTR, shops/malls and eatery, but that’s like anywhere else in HK in my opinion.

Not a bad choice for tourists

It was a bit small for 3 people, 2 dogs plus 2 crates. The pillow was the best one I have ever used. Location is convenient.

Shower towel is too old, edges are reaping off. Toilet bowl not 100% clean, urine from previous guests are still stained at the back cover area. Door bottom edge gap too large letting outside air conditioning to comes in which makes the room too cold after switching off room air condition. WiFi service very poor with very slow connection.
