    Bad customer service
    First - I was greeted by the hotel staff (Farah) whom seems to be impatient and unwillingly to work during the process of checking in. After slow process, I was told that my room was not ready and would only be ready by 3pm. I then highlighted to Farah that I did not request for early check in and the hotel stated 2pm for checking in, how could the room be not ready? Secondly, Farah did not provide us an alternative solution and just merely mentioned that the room was not ready. So is Amara telling me that the room that was not ready during the check-in time is the customer's issue? Thirdly, I then requested if i could have late checkout since you are unable to check-me in on time. She literally signed on me and ask her colleague next to her if our request could be granted. She then informed that the latest she could help was till 2pm. Upon agreement to the request, I informed her that I will be hanging around the hotel lounge and requested her to keep me inform if the room is ready. However, she just nodded her head and does not really seems to acknowledge it. I was very disappointed and do not feel the welcoming to your hotel. I hope that the management could come out with something to improve the whole system and your ground staff should go for more customer service courses.

    Mold
    The room had black mold and I had difficulty breathing. I slept with a painting mask the whole first night, which helped but bruised my face by morning. I communicated this and was moved the next day to a new room, which was much better, but still smelled faintly of mold. Zak was very helpfil through this process, but some of the other hotel staff were not as kind during the stay. Overall, I was not pleased with the facility because of the condition, which overshadowed everything else in the end. It was difficult to truly rest there the six nights I stayed because of the state of the room. The breakfast buffet was the saving grace, but on the last morning we were told breakfast was not included after it was for the past several days. We spoke to the hotel manager on duty who was unwilling to make any exceptions. We decided to skip breakfast rather than pay the pricey fee, but the buffet manager insisted we stay for a complimentary breakfast. It was very kind of Rav. However, it was a really rotten end to the whole experience given that the food was the only reason we ended up staying there at all rather than demanding a refund for the moldy room and going somewhere else. I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t suggest it to others.

    Decent location. Steep price for a "four star" hot
    Location was about 5-10 minutes from tourist attractions. And is a semi-family friend. Recommend using grab (Asian version of uber) to get around since Taxi queues even in front of the hotel can get long and sometimes can't hold more than 4 people with luggage. There's dining shops (offering Malay, Indian and Chinese) cuisines right across the lobby. Lobby is clean but front desk often take a long time to process you in. Not always as friendly but there are gems of people, like Rozie who were a great help. And if you are stuck waiting in the lobby bellhops often offer water which is nice. Room was fine. Bed was big, sheets aren't too soft but comfortable and bathrooms look good at a quick glance, but coule use some sweeping or new grout could be put in. Often found hair from others still lingering. And in the rain shower grouting was cracked. Bathtub is big but no shower curtain to prevent toilet or wash area from getting wet. Business center is not open 24/7 and still use HP desktops. Fast enough for quick emails but not the best for editing excel documents. Wifi is fast but spotty in the lobby. Pool entrance is under construction but to get to it often requires front desk help. But the pool it's nice. In a sunny area but cabanas and palm trees offer shade. Breakfast isn't included but would recommend going out to eat since local food is cheaper and tastier. tldr: decent location. Bed is good for sleeping but bathroom could use work. Amenities are good. Family friendly.

    Very bad experience
    The experience had been terrible from booking to check out. We made our booking for 2 deluxe double room more than 6 months ago. When we made the booking, it was clearly state that the breakfast was included for everyone (we have 2 adults and 1 child in each room), soon after we confirm the booking we received an email from the hotel that the breakfast were for 2 adults only for each room and the child has to pay. After few round of fight and showing evidence, the hotel finally provide the breakfast for kids free of charge. At the time when we checkin, the staffs at the counter were so inexperience that it took almost half hour to get our room key. The most disappointed thing is when we get to our room in level 6(the room in this level looks like spare room), both rooms were so dark and extremely old that they are actually windowless( the window are up on a very high wall and u can't even climb to open the curtain) and totally different from the photo when I made the booking. After another round of fight, they put all of us in a suite room. From my personal experience, I really don't recommend you in chosing this hotel.

    Convenient hotel
    Booked one night for a staycation. Didn't disappoint although checking in process was a bit of a letdown. For the first time in my life of checking in to hotels, I have to queue and wait to be served. I can't remember how long it took for me to go up to the counter and get my keys. I was like the 7th in line. When my turn to get the keys, I casually turned back and lo! The queue has stretched for miles! Ok. A bit exaggeration there. Not sure what was the hold-up. Could be only 2 receptionists were present? Got my keys to the 15th floor and looked for my room. Room was nice, a bit dark even with all lights turned on. Bathroom was nicely sized with separate shower and bathtub. Shower is spacious to accommodate 3/4 adults. Only problem, the rainfall shower is quite close to the wall and water pressure low. Bath products were generously sized. You have to make do with only 2 bath towels. Looked around but can't find hand towel and face towel. Bed was nice and firm with a little height. Pillows? Too soft. Mini bar quite standard. Best part of the package I believe will be the provision of a free smart phone! Don't need to bother getting a local SIM card or for locals need not worry of using their data plan. Did not use any hotel facilities though. Maybe next time if they have good deals available.
