Location is it’s only saviour
No working heating in room, shower was extremely temperamental (most mornings there was no hot water) Bathroom door had no lock and the inside handle was almost hanging off.. Reception staff were useless basically. Had very little understanding of the English language . Bar staff memember did not even know what a can of coke was when I asked if they had any. Was woken up most morning by the sound of house keeping loudly gossiping in the hallway or next room, if you’re planning on sleeping in past 7.30am this definitely isn’t the hotel for you because you’d be lucky if you could sleep through the noise every morning. Some sort of alarm also went off repeatedly (testing fire alarm) which was obviously very concerning and confusing but because our previous experience with the staff we felt like the was no point in even trying to ask.....) Upon checkout I was expecting to at least be asked about how my stay was but the reception literally grabbed the room keys off me and went ‘you Deposit will be refunded automatically at some point, good bye’ at this point I was now completely done with the hotel so abandoned the big complaint speech and was very happy to leave. Would not recommend to anyone .

Small hotel off the main road
The site said check in wasn't until 2pm (which is a little weird) but we got there at 1:30pm and they said the room would be ready in an hour. They said we could leave our bags there so we did. We ventured the city a bit and came back at 2:30pm, an hour later. They told us the room still wasn't ready, but it wouldn't be more than five minutes. We waited for about 20 minutes until they came and gave us our key. We got to the room and found that our bags were not in the room. I went down and asked where our bags were and at first they had no idea what I was talking about. Then they caught on and showed me that our bags were right next to the open door that goes outside the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. Housekeeping was very prompt and good at their jobs, fresh towels, soaps, and bedding every day. Breakfast was not included but was offered at the time of check-in for about £12.00 a day per person. We opted out of that. Check out time was 12pm of the day we were to leave (which again, we thought was a little weird). Overall, the room was a bit worn-down and the beds were a little hard. A bit warm in the rooms but with the window cracked it wasn't so bad.

This Place Is A Dump!
Do NOT be fooled by the website’s professional photos. What appears to be a small, quaint hotel with a cozy atmosphere is anything but. Located in the beautiful area of Mayfair, I wish I could say that this hotel held up to the par of the others located nearby. The saying “cheap is cheap” must apply here because the owner of this hotel has refused to put any money back into their establishment. I checked in with my family a few weeks ago with the hope of having a nice stay for a trip to London for New Year’s Eve but we checked out the same night we arrived. For starters, the lobby is covered with dust, stained chairs, and peeling wallpaper. The lift is old and can barely fit two people with their luggage! The rooms are disgustingly filthy and dilapidated! Upon first entering the room, we tried to leave; however, the door was broken and we could not get out! We tried calling the front desk for help but the phone in our room did not work either! With broken doors, nonworking telephones, peeling wallpaper, rusted bathrooms, holes and iron burns in the carpet, beds that probably had insects crawling beneath the mattresses, the bedding looked like it was from the 1950’s with its wire springs protruding from the mattress…we just couldn’t stay there in those terrible conditions.

Poor 2.0
Taking into consideration that I paid almost €200, this is the WORST hotel in which I have stayed in my life. I usually never leave negative reviews since some things can be understood and changed, but this hotel went too far. It was winter in London and the room had NO heating plus one of the windows had cracks on it so cold air would just come inside. The shower didn't work properly and curtains were extremely dirty. The TV was a joke, set on top of a closet so I couldn't actually watch TV lying in bed. No telephone inside the room to communicate the issues, and when I approached the Italian guy at reception, his answers were "No refund", "It's your problem, you chose the hotel" and "I'm tired of listening this, I'm stressed, need to smoke a cigarette"... I wouldn't even give this "4-star" Hotel the category of a Hostel. Two other guests were complaining and one of them ended up calling the police.

Good location
The location was central to everything so that was the bonus. The room was very small as was the elevators. There are three steps to go down when you first go through the door so if you have large suitcases like we did, that is tough going back up especially. I wouldn't waste money on the breakfast. Not appealing and not much for the price. One desk clerk was not able to give us directions but the other was so hit and miss there. It's right behind another major hotel so you could hear some of the staff chatting at night - if you have a room that faces the street. We were only there for a night so not too bad but I don't think I would stay for a longer period of time.
