COVID19 shouldn't be an excuse for poor service
We paid for a five star hotel and had a three start experience. Spa - closed Pool - closed Gym - closed Restaurant - closed Breakfast I paid extra for - served in cardboard boxes and I had to go to the front desk and ask for my breakfast vouchers which should've been given with my key. She acted like she was doing my a favor to give me what I paid for. And they forgot condiments and plastic ware then refused to bring them to our room, insisting that we come back to the lobby to get them ourselves. In room dining - limited Room - no snack bar or espresso machine as advertised. The only coffee available was in the lobby for $5/cup of black coffee. Only one partial roll of toilet paper in the room and when we ran out they wouldn't bring us more, again insisting we go to the lobby to get it ourselves. These changes were made in the name of COVID19. However, surrounding restaurants, spas, gyms, and pools are open. The refusal to come upstairs was again in the name of limiting contact between guests and staff, but they could've easily left items outside my door. And if they weren't going to provide coffee and snacks in the room as advertised those items should have been available for free at the front desk. Overall, we feel ripped off. When I contacted the hotel with my concerns, they were not apologetic in the least. I understand there is a virus and I appreciate the desire to be safe, but they are using the crisis as an excuse to cut corners without changing rates.

Poor 2.0
This hotel was awful. I’ll never stay there again. And likely...will not use hotels.com for any further bookings. The service was the worst. No bellman. I asked for a coffee maker. I was informed not possible. Due to covid. However, I just spent the weekend at a five star resort in palm beach. It was perfectly possible there. Then I was required to pay $250 for incidentals after learning that there was no room service, spa, pool or gym. Not to mention the restaurant was closed. And there was a very limited bar menu with restricted houses. When enter the room I tried to call the front desk and housekeeping 7 times. No answer. I even tried from my cell phone on their main line. Still nothing. ice bucket, conditioner and body soap. I received nothing. I called the front desk multiply times and no one would answer. I tried the housekeeping no answer.

GAAreat stay
We were exhausted when we arrived! They room was exteemely comfortable, the beds amazing as usual. We were overly cautions with staying due to COVID but the cleanliness of the hotel and room eased our anxiety.

Great. Wish the restaurant had been open.

Seems like they are working with very reduced staffing. Of the many times I called down to the front desk, they never answered my phone call from the room. I finally called the fourth time from my cell phone to issue a noise complaint on a Wednesday night and someone answered. The next night, I needed utensils to eat with and nobody answered after several tries. I went down to the restaurant and grabbed them myself. The valet was basically never seen. You have to park your car and walk around the side of the building to get in and it isn’t covered parking.

Stay at the Ritz Carlton instead.
We called before our stay to make sure the pool was open. 2 people at the reservation desk said yes. We tried to call the hotel for over an hour to make sure the restaurant and room service was open but NO One answered the phone at the hotel, at any ext. the rooms were comparable to a Hampton inn but the service at check in and throughout the hotel was not 5 star. The bar tenders were not friendly and hardly spoke a word. Again, not 5 star!

Fab Hotel, No Amenities
The service, room, bar and food were great!! Pool and restaurant are closed and no housekeeping. Honestly, it was frustrating to pay $5 for a small cup of coffee and have no sundries available such as water and snacks. The other Luxury Collection Hotels have morning coffee and a snack bar area, and although it is only coffee, after a week it added up with gratuity to over $25. I would have much rather given that money to the super friendly staff and housekeeping as a thank you. The room was great, bed was very comfortable and overall a great stay.

Meh
The lobby is beautiful. The room was nice too. Wanted a 5-star experience, and a number of things didn’t get us there: 1) No cups in the room 2) Mini fridge was empty, but full of the last guest’s beer, 3) No shampoo or conditioner, 4) The tracks the curtains to the room were attached to were not functioning properly, so it was very hard to open & close them, 5) used glasses sat by the elevator for the duration of our stay.
