Helpful front desk staff checked us in early and let us leave our bags downstairs until our room was ready a few hours later. The building is old but well maintained with charming old wood moldings and trims. The standard queen room was small but clean and well appointed with fresh paint, nice furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The sink is located in the main room with the toilet and shower stall in a separate space behind a sliding barn door. Our third floor room had a nice peekaboo view of the harbor but first and second floor rooms have no views. The convenient location is a 10 minutes walk from the ferry pier and central to all the sites and activities but being one block back from the harbor it was much quieter than some other lodgings. Overall this was a great place to stay on Catalina for a fairly reasonable price.

Overall, experience was really great. The air-conditioning worked great, the room was clean. The bed was soft and comfortable to sleep on. There was a beautiful ocean view that I could see from my bed. It was in walking distance to everything, restaurants and bars and the beach so the location was ideal. It was definitely a good choice for my birthday weekend. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.
