Excellent hotel and great conversion of a town icon. First class. Katanning needs to grow around it as almost everything else in town, including the pubs were closed (between Christmas and New Year).

The property is quite interesting. It was an old mill converted to a hotel. Many features form the mill form part of the hotel's decor. The Wine Bar downstairs was it's best feature. And the wine selection was quite good. Our room was small but adequate. The temp was set at 21C and could not be changed. The TV did not work. No Gluten Free options in the Wine Bar and not many at DOME. Noone at Reception when we arrived. The DOME staff had to find the concierge. The concierge was nowhere to be seen after we checked in to report out issues with the TV, room temp, etc. He did not know anything about the area. DOME is ok for coffee and cake but not somewhere to go for dinner. Food was very bland and less than avg in quality. Room overpriced for what we got.

We liked the interior of the whole hotel - using the old and modern look. Very beautiful. Hotel room and amenities are excellent. We did not like the DOME service - bad coffee and the food we had was not on the same standard as what we normally have in Perth. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

An amazing property. The restoration of the old Mill is fantastic. The rooms very spacious and the linen excellent. The mini bar fridge is totally useless, not enough room for a punnet of strawberries. No tea and coffee facilities in the room which is annoying as there is loads of space in the room. Instead you have to leave your room and walk down the passageway to the 'guest valet' which is a glorified cupboard to make a coffee. No secure parking, only street parking which we were concerned about but it turned out ok. The complimentary books about the Mill and the surrounding area are a nice touch.

The hotel is located in an old mill so it is highlighted by unique features. While the room is spacious it is suited to an overnight or weekend stay but not set up for much longer with no couch, table/chairs and a tiny fridge. The bathroom is modern with a great shower. A lovely hotel for a getaway in a pretty little town.
