Delusions of grandeur
The hotel aspires to greatness, and its amenities are good, but ultimately it is a bit of a fizzle. The rooms are dark, dingy, and small. I asked to be in a room away from the elevators, and I got one about 10 metres from them, on the third floor, with a view on to a private balcony. There are few shops all that close by, though it is handy to the University at least. My emailed bill included a $19 charge for the minibar that I didn't use - luckily I noticed it and the staff happily took it off. But then I found out I was charged some $17 plus as a 2% charge for using a credit card. Ridiculous at a hotel charging this much. They need to incorporate it into the price. They assure me this is standard practice at NZ and Australian hotels, but I think they need to do more homework. The only way around the surcharge is to use a local NZ debit card, apparently, which is parochial to say the least. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but all in all, I won't be going back to this hotel.

Recent stay in Auckland
I loved this hotel. The service was superb. Our function was great- very professional.A very nice gym and pool was important to me to keep up my training while away. Only thing I would suggest is a small serve healthier/special diet menu. Well done Pullman Auckland!

Exceptional 10.0
Fantastic place
Your doorman set the tone who was so welcoming and enthusiastic as were check in staff. Loved the toy kiwis for my kids. The room was gorgeous and beds were so comfortable . Breakfast was amazing. The highlight was the fantastic pool!

Just passing through.
One night business stop. A clean and comfortable hotel with helpful and willing staff. Nearby night dining, especially in Chancery Lane, has gone downhill which is disappointing.

Great stay, excellent service
Service at this hotel is excellent from the minute they open the door for you as you walk in. You feel pampered as all staff will go out of their way to make you happy. They were kind to give my son a welcome gift - stuffed kiwi which he loved! We were warmly had a surprise dessert in our room as it was our 9th wedding anniversary. We had the breakfast buffet included with our booking and it was sensational quality and good selection. They even had made to order omelettes, eggs bene, poached eggs or pancakes. I was surprised they also had a cheese station with brie, blue cheese, cheddar salami and ham. We booked tickets to Waiheke Island and I got notified I needed the printed version. The staff printed it for me within minutes. The pool was big but the pool heater wasn't working properly. The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all excellent. They had a massive gym with indoor and outdoor area. The only downside is that the rooms are starting to show their age but especially the bathroom needs an upgrade etc.
