Beautifully maintained Victorian hotel centrally located in old Porto so we enjoyed its historical aspects. Centrally located and very convenient to walk to most attractions and mere minutes to the tram and bus if you want travel to places like Serralves cultural park which is well worth a visit. Situated on limited vehicle street - Santa Catarina where people walk and shop.

Beautiful old hotel in the centre of Porto. Central to everything, in the main shopping street, loads of restaurants around and close to transport, Se Cathedral and the hop on hop off buses.

A grand old lady, a good stay. A extra chair in the room, one for each person. Breakfast was excellent, a very well maintained buffet.

A lovely grand hotel that makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. An excellent position right in the main mall but only a short 10min walk to the river front. Would recommend upgrading to the suite, very spacious with a comfy bed. It was lovely to eat breakfast in the grand dining room every morning such a gorgeous room as is the bar and sitting areas. Friendly & helpful staff

It was in a really great location, easy to walk to key points of interests and close to public transport links also a really nice breakfast to set you on your way.

The hotel was in a fantastic location - close to everything with train station nearby. Upon entering the hotels bar, lounge and dining room we found all were exquisitely furnished and decorated. However our room was extremely disappointing. The size of the room was so tiny you could not even walk around the small double bed. It was difficult just to enter the room thought the tiny passage way and doorway with any luggage. The decor and furnishing was extremely dark and the bed was extremely uncomfortable- sagged and has lumps in it. This room though was advertised as a double room is really only suited for 1 person. Breakfast was included in the price and was reasonable. Overall our stay was enjoyed because of the location of the hotel and price was reasonable but room was not comfortable and definitely not for two people.

Only stay there one night. The room is extremely small and the double bed is not comfortable. Despite it is not a long walking distance from the main railway station, to some people, it may be hard to walk uphill with luggage. Breakfast was just average.

We had a wonderful four nights at the Grand Hotel in Porto. This hotel lived up to its name, with a sense of grandness reflected in its all its furnishings, entrance and dining room. It was very centrally located in the old town, and a short walk from the main sights. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were helpful and polite and the included breakfast was excellent.

The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The hotel is very dated and the room had a strong smell of damp. Would not stay at this hotel again!
