The hotel is in a great location. I have stayed in the Mercure hotels in many other destinations and always been happy with this chain. I was utterly disappointed with Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacré Coeur, though. My mattress was broken and when I asked staff to attend to it - nothing happened. It was two of us sharing the room, yet the room cleaning gave us only 1 towel. We made a coffee in the morning and the cleaner left the used old paper cup (to be reused?) but again, only 1. There were no “usual” amenities (eg body lotion, hair conditioner...). I would not recommend this hotel and I certainly won’t be staying there again. I had 2 nights of very little sleep due to being uncomfortable, paid £172 per a night and didn’t even get customer service!! Shame on you, Mercure!

We stayed at this hotel in October 2018 - because we only had a few days to book our hotel in Paris - we ended up here instead of where we really wanted to be because everywhere else was sold out. For nearly $450 a night we got one of the smallest and most disappointing hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. I like the Mercure hotels and have stayed in them in countries all around the world so I had some high expectations - but this place really let me down. Very small rooms even though they are all called SUPERIOR rooms - but they really aren't. Tiny bathrooms and the toilet is all by itself in an even smaller room. Breakfast is only served until 10am and we ended up missing it one morning because we had just come from hotels in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg that served breakfast until much, much later. When we finally did get to have it the next day, it was crowded and noisy and the food was plentiful but only average. No parking whatsoever, I had to park underground at a nearby grocery store. Location is really good however, just about 200 meters away from Moulin Rouge and lots of transit nearby. Also lots of cafes and restaurants as well as a smattering of sleazy sex shops. I would never stay here again unless I was forced to - and I hope that day never comes. It is an okay hotel to use as your base if you are planning on seeing the sights - it's a one hour walk to the Eiffel Tower or you could take the Metro.

Overall nice experience. Would recommend. Strategically located, with shops, restaurants, bars and metro stations 3min walking. Staff was super friendly, cleaning lady was amazing. Room looked exactly like the picture. Only disappointment: the amenities clearly does not correspond to a 4stars standard hotel. 2 bar soap in the bathroom, no shampoo, no conditionner, no nothing. Very minimal and cheap to be honest. Room do not have an iron and ironing table, we had to ask the reception to get one, took time to get it.

Quite, recently renovated.
Decent hotel, however, layout of bathroom was not ideal. This hotel does not provide wash cloths to shower with. I do not know if this is common in France, but this was very inconvenient for us. Also, it is almost impossible to shower without soaking the entire bathroom floor. The glass enclosure around the bath tub only encloses half of the tub. It is essentially half of a glass panel. Therefore, when you are showering there is not enough glass nor is there a shower curtain to prevent water from pouring onto the floor. This was the biggest problem for my husband and I. We found this to be very odd. On the upside, they do provide breakfast every morning. The breakfast was okay - I found myself eating chocolate croissants, eggs and bacon every morning. Definitely, lots of bread on the breakfast menu! Also, the rooms were quite small, however, we were told that the rooms are considered big for Paris. Overall, it was a decent hotel aside from the bathroom issue. My husband and I ended up having to find our own wash cloths and bring them to the hotel. The cleaning staff had no idea what we were referring to and told us that many people wash with their hands.

Great for the price
The hotel is located near the metro, but is not easily found due to the hotel front being somewhat hidden. The staff were great and friendly. The room was spacious, but the room for the bathroom is tiny. It's great that it is in a separate room from the rest of the bathroom, but it was small. Although the room we had was a king bed, it is a hard and super firm bed. After long days of gallivanting around Paris a softer bed would have been welcomed. This hotel is one that needs the room key card for use of the lights/power for the room. A huge plus is that there are complimentary drinks in the small fridge in the room and they get restocked daily at no charge. By the way, the fridge is only big enough for about five drink bottles, although was able to squeeze a small box of macaroons in it!
