New rooms a little small to move around. Construction is going on in front of lobby area, so hotel is not visible from street. We were not sure if the taxi was at right place, We reached very late at night and there were a lot of questionable people around at that time. Location was perfect with train station next door. Wi-Fi was always spotty.

Not worth the money it’s more a 3 star
The location is convenient as it’s very close to gare de L,Est but when I say close I mean it’s literally on the train platform. There is lots of building works going on outside so it quite noisy with banging , which isn’t the hotels fault. The area is not very nice wouldn’t recommend staying in this area it’s not a safe place to walk around. The hotel is a bit basic and the reception isn’t very well attended at night time. The bedsheets are very basic and the tiny toilet bathrooms inside you can barely fit inside and there is no privacy to shower in the shower doors are see through into the room. I think for what you pay per night there are better places to stay. They do have good access to tea,coffee fruit and water etc in the breakfast area downstairs. No movie channels or English speaking other than just news.

Good Value Stay
Hotel is a good value with breakfast and cocktail hour. Great to have 24 hour expresso machine and light snacks in the common area. Very comfortable and chic common area. Entrance to hotel was difficult to find. Look for entrance gate at 23 Rue D’Alsace and then ring doorbell to get in.
