Pro's were hotels central position in Chester, parking close by at reasonable cost with hotel discount. Queen bed was huge and comfortable. Cons were very dated rooms with furnishing and curtains needing a damn good clean. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water, not suitable for less able with shower in high sided bath, Extractor fan sounded like jet turbine on take off! Outside noise in street quite high. Room not serviced over our two night stay. Breakfast was disappointing, quality of food poor, cooking ok. The award winning breakfast consisted of one slice of bacon, one sausage, one egg and beans. No black pudding, I did not want tomato or mushroom so assume they were available. Continental consisted of a solitary croissant it appeared. Cost cutting seemed to be the order of the day, a sign of the times I suppose. Value for money only if you want a well positioned city hotel.
