Good stay at a good hotel
The room we had was facing the courtyard of the hotel, which is huge and beautiful, and has the swimming pool in the center of it. The room was clean, comfortably big enough for the two of us. The housekeeping would come in daily to clean it; the bathroom was always well-cleaned, as I could smell the cleaning detergents after they left. The people at the front were very nice. I was checked in by a talkative young man. He gave me a lot of details about what's around the area. The hotel is pretty big. The parking is extremely spacious and goes all the way around, so no need for u-turning when you leave. Coffee and tea was in the room, which was great as I'm a tea person, and my friend is a coffee person. Wi-fi was easy to connect to. It's not always the strongest connection, but it was acceptable. We only needed it to look up directions or reviews of places now and then. The location is super convenient. There's a water park just a few exits down the fwy, and a mall one exit down in the other direction. Locally, there is a Target within walking distance, a Wal-Mart in the opposite direction. Both plazas had tons of options for eating, and other shopping if the mall, Wal-Mart, and Target didn't offer what you wanted. Overall, it was a good stay.

Disappointed & Disgusted
I was taking a shower and the water got cold all of a sudden. I saw roaches and a spider in my room. The WiFi was very unstable and stopped working multiple times. The breakfast was a joke. An employee walked in on me in my room (he had a hotel key) and said that he was told that I checked out when I had not checked out yet. When I went into the lobby to check out, it smelled like urine. Yuck!!! I chose this hotel because of the price compared to other hotels in the area, since I was not familiar with this city. I was supposed to stay 5 days, but decided to leave early due to my experience. Many upgrades need to be made to this hotel. I was very disgusted about my stay. I did not say anything because I felt that nothing would be done to make things better, that is why I left early and went to another hotel instead. I am not trying to be negative, but am clearly being honest about my experience at this hotel.

Great location, Clean Rooms, Highly Recommend!
Came back to this hotel for a business trip. Great location, literally right next to I-10 Freeway, shopping centers and restaurants, the Mall of Louisiana, downtown Baton Rouge and LSU campus. Rooms were clean. TV, wireless internet and phone worked. Very professional and responsive front desk service. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend and would come back!

This room smells.
The had a smell to it. You could use the phone it did not have cord to plug it up. The pool was under construction, they did not mention this on the ad or when we checked in. They even gave us a room facing the pool and still didn't tell us about the pool. They also charged my card double for the price of the room and said it should put it in a couple days.
