The property listing is a bit misleading. We were given a fairly basic room (153) on the ground floor (floor 1) in an annexe across the square from the main hotel. The mattress was not very comfortable, the fridge was noisy ( we unplugged it) , the air on did not work, the mixer tap in the bath had to be replaced, after which the bath leaked, and the push down sink and bath plugs didn’t seal. The toilet in 153 is also in an odd position meaning you are almost sitting under the sink, not very comfy for us big gents. Sealing around the bath was a bit black in places. Essentially it needs a bit of work to really claim 4 stars.
Being in the annexe also means you have to be buzzed in by reception when you want to go out or visit the main building for the pool, restaurant and courtyards. We were a bit disappointed that this is listed as 4 Star, we wouldn’t give it more than 3 Star at best.
All that said, breakfast was great, although listed as a buffet, there is a kitchen serving bacon, sausages and eggs cooked to your liking. Isabel was a ray of sunshine in the mornings.
The location is great, and only 20 minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of the old town.
We had a great time in Cordoba and will return but not to this hotel.
