non existent service
we stayed for 6 nights and our room and bathroom were never cleaned properly. our sheets were not changed and our toilet paper ran out and was not replaced . I complained to the front desk and the manager but nothing was done . our bathroom sink and taps were never even wiped down for the duration of the stay . also if you order room service they charge you an extra 5 pounds to deliver the tray to your room ,which then sits outside for a whole day waiting for someone to pick it up .

Welcome to London
Large hotel with over 900 rooms. When I arrived at the hotel to book in I was told that I wasn't booked in until the next day.As we had just travelled from Australia I was upset as it was my mistake. What was really upsetting was being told they had no rooms available for the two of us that night.Being such a large hotel I think they should hold a couple of rooms for situations like this. We eventually had to travel across London at night to stay in another hotel.I suggest the hotel saves a room or two for situations like this in the future.

Poor Hoilday Inn
The hotel's location is excellent for both rail and road access from Heathrow and the surrounding neighbourhood is fabulous but the good stops there. The building itself is over 20 storeys high and while the foyer looks nice our room had clearly not been renovated since (our guess) the 1990's. The state of the beds. furniture and refridgerator was horrible. Doors were hanging at all angles and much of the internal shelving of the refridgerator was missing. As for airconditioning (we stayed back in June), when the outside temperature is cooler than the airconditioning well don't bother. Maybe we just had a bad room but speaking to a couple of other guests who we met while waiting down stairs at the bar to be given some drinking glasses for our room (have never experienced this anywhere else) they told similar stories. I can only presume that since the hotel was jam packed with airline crews and tourist buses, the hotel decided they did not need to provide a similar level of service to independent travellers. Definitely stay in the area but book into one of the many other hotels in the area.

Location, location, location!
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before flying home. It is very easy to get to by tube with Glouster St and Sth Kensington stations nearby and with easy access to the V&A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum as well as Harrods if you fancy some shopping! In the past I have stayed on the Bayswater side of Hyde Park but after this stay will stay on this side as it is quieter but with all the facilities available. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the shower was very low however the reception staff reported it to maintenance as soon as I advised them of the issue.

The hotel was great but we booked an executive room as it stated the room had a city view, but we were on the 5th floor so the view was of the houses opposite. Not what we expected!! When we stayed before we had an amazing view right down to the river and the London Eye so we were rather disappointed this time. However we still enjoyed our stay.

I believe I asked for a room in a quiet area of the hotel but the continual noise from the road was very disturbing. The staff were helpful and the beds comfortable.

As usual we had an excellent stay here. Only one slight problem........ the height of the toilet!! It was so low - looked (and felt) as though it was a child's toilet!!

Time to refurbish
First room we were allocated had no electricity. After 40 minutes they changed our room at our request. In the second room the hall switches for the bathroom and hall did not work. We didn't bother to report that. I could also see through gaps in the door into the hallway. Unsure of UK fire legislation and wondered if the rooms met the UK fire code.
