Nice big Hotel
Great stay. Big hotel. Next to water. Nice amenities. Free skytrain very close by. Near tourist shops and eats and hop on hop off bus and park. Walgreens supermarket is nearby. Other than that downtown pretty dead. Would recommend this hotel. Not close to beach but didn't bother me

Good Hotel
Location was great, staff very friendly. The rooms could benefit from a refresh as they obviously have not been renovated for a while. The bar down stairs in the lobby is also great.

Someone in the valet service for my car, took it for a “joy ride” and scuffed my right front rim!! Not good! Used my navigation and added stations to my radio favorites. Unacceptable!

Rey good experience as usual. I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants access to downtown Miami and the Design District

Exceptional 10.0
Clean, modern, comfortable. Superb location.
Modern well maintained super clean hotel with very comfortable bed and good size room. The location is great, in the heart of downtown Miami, right at Biscayne Bay at the mouth of the Miami River. It's half a block from the free People Mover, which can get you around most of the surrounding downtown area. A short walk to Brickell area which has tons of trendy shops, restaurants and night life. Two block walk to a Whole Foods store for any groceries you need. My only minor complaints: The little refrigerator is locked, and if you want to use it to store any of your own cold food or drinks, they charge a $25 restocking fee, which is entirely unwarranted. I object to paying a "resort fee" or equivalent fee tacked on at any hotel after they lure you in with an artificially lower daily reservation fee. In this case, when I reserved on Hotels.com, I did pay the $25 per night fee; but at check in, they attempted to collect the fee again. When they reviewed my records, they waived the fee as already paid. And when I checked out, they again tried to hit me with this $25 fee for each of three nights, and again only when I explained that I already paid it through Hotels.com, they waived it again. So beware if the hotel tries to charge you a second bogus "resort fee". They use a different name for this fee, but it's the same thing. Overall, with those caveats, it is a terrific place to stay.
