    We left our hearts at the SF Grand Hyatt

    A first up visit to the Grand Hyatt, despite frequent trips to SF. Well worth it for the welcoming and caring nature of staff from beginning to end; their willingness to supply bottled water; and to answer any questions raised. Room quality and comfort were ideal, with a great view across to the downtown shops, and to areas inland. Good availability of transport options to visit waterfront areas. Food was great at breakfast and was reasonably priced, with night time dinner alternatives easy to locate off the property were necessary and Chinatown in Grant Avenue only a short walk away. Room quality, service and maintenance were excellent - which provided great comfort on a couple of those rainy January days in SF. Despite visits to other hotels in the past, it would take something special to see us move from the Grand Hyatt and the care displayed by their welcoming staff.

    Not what I expected from a Grand Hyatt. Rooms are tired and bathrooms are very dated! Bottled water is never replenished. Our bathroom had a couple of amenities when we checked in and they were only replace once in four days! Overall, I felt it was overpriced.

    Third time staying at Grand Hyatt Union Square. Have never been disappointed with service been consistently excellent each time. Great location for shopping, getting tour buses and close to restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    Nice hotel & location

    Had a nice 2 night and 1 night stay here during our 9 days in SF. We paid the nightly rate that included self parking. The parking lot is across the street from the hotel. The hotel is in a nice location. 5 minute walk to chinatown and 15-20 mins to the Ferry Building. Front desk was friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out. Would stay here again.

    The hotel restaurant was not open July 21-24 but they still charge a resort fee not covered by a hotels.com prepayment. SF itself has no cable cars until August. The city is not ready for all the tourists. Disappointed.

    I paid extra for Union Square view. The view was fantastic. Everything was great except the soundproof wasn't good enough. I had to bear hearing all the footstep sound coming from other rooms. Someone kept jumping around as well. I woke up few times because of that noise. I stayed boutique hotels in SF before and there was no soundproof at all so I could hear every little noise so this time I picked a big concrete building but still wasn't good enough...I guess it's SF thing...no soundproof walls...

    It was awesome!!! Great staff, super friendly and clean. I had some special requests because my son has but allergy and there was a Note waiting from housekeeping when we arrived in the roommate saying if we needed anything to let them know! It was awesome that I knew they followed up with this! Definitely would recommend and will stay there again when in SF!
