Poor Service from Hyatt Hotel
My family and I stayed at the hotel for the Joyce Meyers Conference the night of August 11th. We checked out on August 12th. To my surprise I woke up on August 12th to a phone call from my bank. They put my account on fraud alert because the hotel had three different pending transactions and a fourth one soon to follow. I spoke with the staff and the manager and let them be aware that my total stay cost was $407.90. Well they let me know that they put two $25 charges for my two rooms (for if any damage is done to the rooms). I was not aware that this hotel does that and I have never heard of such. Mind you no damage was done to hotel rooms. Also with the charge they charged me twice for the hotel rooms instead of doing one whole charge together for due amount. The manager at the front desk adjusted the last charge so That it would come out to the $407.90 but instead she overcharged me about $4.00. This may not sound like a lot but for all I had to go through with the back and forth with my bank and hotel it is extremely frustrating to know that I was ripped out and given poor service.

Money rip-off
Expedia doesn't tell you there is a $50 a night deposit needed at check in, along with the nightly amount. Wasn't happy about that but the manager didn't charge it to me. Then there was a $31 a nightly valet parking. We paid cash for the parking and ended up being charged again on my credit card. At check out they wanted me to pay for the room again!!!!! I was not happy with that NOR did I pay considering the room amount had already been paid for and was taken off my credit card. I had to deal with another manager, who was less than bright, trying to figure out why I was being charged again. It took a manager to check us in and a manager to check us out. The manager that checked us in was knowledgeable and understanding, she gave us some coupons for some local eateries. The check out manager was horrible. She didn't know why I was mad and why I wasn't going to pay for the room again. I explained AND showed her that my card was already charged and that I was being over charged with the $31 valet charge that shouldn't have been charged to my card in the 1st place. Once we were ready to leave, I had asked her to call for my car, she said she would and didn't. The valet manager apologized to us and went and got our car pulled up

A disappointing experience
Check in was a disaster...no rooms available at advertised hotel check in of 3 pm. Our room was not available until about 6 pm. Hotel contended they were booked solid (due to Summerfest) and small amount of housekeeping staff could not clean rooms in time. Lots of people waiting around the lobby and in long lines. I felt the hotel could have done a much better job of preparing for the increased guest occupancy by hiring temporary help and/or let guests know in advance (preferably when they book the property) that Hyatt cannot guarantee rooms will be ready by normal check-in due to Summerfest. At least folks can plan accordingly and not show up and be forced to leave their bags ...which is in a locked room but still...then head to festival and not return/get into their room until midnight which is when we technically checked in. I did not feel the value was there either as far as the price of the room and room quality. Our room was average, and the air conditioner was quite loud/clanky. I've stayed at this Hyatt before and had no issues including staying during Summerfest...this time was different. I will look for other properties next time I visit Milwaukee.

Terrible experience
We stayed for an event at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. It’s within walking distance, which was nice, we could park and not have to get back in the car until we left. Checking in was terrible. We arrived at 7:15 pm and our event was at 8 pm. Our rooms were not ready upon our arrival (check in scheduled for 3 pm). Very poor customer service skills by the woman checking us in. She wasn’t sure what to do about the fact that our rooms weren’t ready. We were told we would receive breakfast and drink vouchers because the rooms weren’t ready and to stop back after our event to get checked in. Arrived back to check in, rooms were ready but Had to remind them about the vouchers and only received vouchers for breakfast, no drinks. The man checking us in made sure we were aware that each breakfast voucher cost $21 and that we were getting a deal. Got to the rooms, one had garbage in the room yet, the other was dirty and one of the bedside lamps looked like someone had punched it. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, the normal buffet breakfast. (Not worth $21) Upon checking out we asked for the bill to be split in half between the 2 couples. The woman split each of the rooms in half and charged twice (which is fine, just a lot of confusion). I asked for a receipt so that I could verify everything was correct as one card had already been charged for both rooms + incidentals, received a receipt for the cost of 1/2 of one of the rooms instead of the receipts for both rooms.

Very good value for a nice room downtown
Very good value, I rented the cheapest room but was still provided with a very nice city view room , beds comfortable, and for my needs I would stay here again . ISSUES and Feedback -Traveling with a little one as were many of the guests I found inconvenient not to have a microwave oven in the room for warming up the milk or warm up food. There was one at the business center which smelled terrible . -Despite selling Starbucks coffee I really missed free coffee service which is standard to many hotel lobbies nowadays . -NO swimming pool . Although my little girl really enjoyed the hugh lobby with plenty of space to run around and get tired we really missed a swimming pool! In addition I there was a small fitness center for the size of the hotel ---.Location issues. During winter time is hard to stroll downtown , no close proximity with anything interesting around ,not even window shopping , although I cannot blame this on the hotel but instead on a need for Milwaukee to revamp the area, the shops of Grand Avenue Mall are depressing , many shops out of business and the mall feels empty and does not even feel safe at night . -Except for the hotel restaurant not too many choices within walking distance at all for a chilly windy day, otherwise GPS indicates it would take you about 15-17 minute walk to nicer restaurants which I would no to mind doing in another season of the year. Again for my needs it is fine and good value overall .
