Very good
It's fine
This hotel is located a few blocks away from the main activity of Colaba. Those blocks do make a difference though as it's situated in a Muslim area, with Muslim restaurants, stores, and pretty much all of the hotel guests too. The staff there are nice and helpful. It's an odd place...some repurposed 5th floor of a small commercial building. A lot of the rooms don't have windows. If your booking says "cit view" or some such thing (as mine did, and other reviewers have noted theirs did too), then don't settle for a window-less room if that's what they first give you. I was shown to one, then brought up my booking and was brought to a better room with windows. Note that this is a smoking hotel! Every room has an ash tray, and your room will either smell vaguely of cigarette smoke, or of the air freshener used to mask the smell. The bathroom sometimes smelled like saltwater mildew too. It's a bit worn, and it's a strange layout of narrow window-less hallways. No real lobby (one couch and a counter), no restaurant, and the room walls are thin (I could hear my neighbor cough). I did see 2 small roaches during my 3 nights there. But this is India after all, and I was happy enough with my stay and being close enough to the area I wanted to spend time in. I eventually moved on to hotels I liked better, but this was fine for a few nights.

Very good
Kindest people I've met during my stay, after telling them for so many times I haven't got hot water they upgraded my room! Good location, walking distance to gateway of India.
