Not worthy of being in the hospitals business.
Shitty service. Rude staff. Overall the worst experience I have had till date with any hotel. Even after continuous complaining about Many things none of them were attended immediately. In fact the phone in the room was also not working properly. Which means I couldn’t call the reception all the time. From the first day had problems with the AC not working. After complaining about it it was taken care. Second night again it stopped working. The entire night I tried calling the reception for getting the AC fixed but no one answered the phone. My kids both 6and 4 years couldn’t sleep due to the hot room and were up the whole night. Morning 6:30 some one picked up the phone but still till the time I got my kids and myself ready no one came to the room to get the AC fixed. Eventually at 12 noon when I was going out with family I again went to the reception manager and complained to him. His response was he is sorry and he will get it fixed. Even my kids couldn’t get milk in the morning as no one throug out the late evening and full night picked up the phone. Ridiculous service. Shouldn’t be in this hospitality business at all. Never am I going to stay here again not recommend any of my family or friends. Overall I’ll rate the hotel in minus.

Hygiene issues
This is the third time we choose this hotel because of good location. The last two experience was good, but this time, the hygiene condition was quite bad. The first day when we checked in, I noticed that there's a stain on the duvet with many wrinkles, it looked like someone has used it, but since it was late and we were too tired, I didn't request for a change of the cover that night. The next morning, I went to the front desk and requested for changing of duvet cover and bed sheets, the staff told me not to worry about it because it's their procedures to change everyhting daily. But when I came back that night, I found that the duvet cover, bed sheets, pillow cases were not changed at all. So I called the housekeeping, they said it's thier policy to change only every THREE days! I had to spend some time to convince the lady that the blanket cover was dirty and I need a clean one before they unwillingly came to change it. Another thing is that most of their towels were smelly and dirty. There was one towel rolled nicely and put beside the sink, when I unrolled it,I saw an obvious black shoe mark on it ! We requested for a replacement, but still half of the replaced towels were smelly too. I asked the housekeeping, they claimed that it's the laundry company's problem, not the hotel's problem. Anyway, the staff at front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful.

Comfy room but serious lack in service
Room - Huge and clean. We had complimentary mini bar to be replenished daily Service - this is when everything went downhill. (1) We extended our trip so i made 2 separate bookings on a continuous dates. We informed the hotel way beforehand (via Hotels.com & official website) because we wanted to avoid the hassle of changing rooms: no reply. Worried, we headed down to the London hotel days before check-in to convey the msg only to have the recep brushed us off with a “you may inform the recep again when you check-in” without any apology. (2) Our room was not cleaned so we called recep to request for new towels. The recep told us to “call housekeeping instead”. For an established hotel, you mean the recep is unable to link us to housekeeping dept? The customer needs to put down the phone and call another number instead? After i did so, towels took a good 30mins to arrive. (3)Our mini bar was not replenished. Called recep who told us “we don’t replenish, if you want you can call Room Service to request”. I was appalled by the reply (sticker on fridge states otherwise). I told her for the past x days, my fridge was replenished daily so her reply was confusing me. As usual, i was told to call Room Service dept (by myself) and it took 30mins for the drinks to arrive. (4) We were expecting an important parcel to arrive during our stay but most of the staff at Concierge appeared lost when queried. However, we would like to compliment Mark, who tried his best to reassure us.

Very good 8.0
The hotel was fairly convenient to Paddington Station and close to the Bond Street and Baker Street tube stops. Very convenient for shopping on Oxford Street -- Selfridges is only a block away. The room was a good size for London and very clean. The bathroom was modern and the shower was fully enclosed so you wouldn't spray everywhere. There was a nice rain shower head and plenty of water pressure and hot water. The only minor problem was that our shower door didn't stay closed completely. The bed was comfortable. The amenities I enjoyed were large towels, bathrobes, slippers, and a free stocked mini bar (water, crisps, soda, flapjacks). The two things I give it a "ding" for are the check-in is up a large flight of stairs and there is an escalator to go up, but not to go down. So, a little bit tricky for taking your large suitcases out. I also didn't enjoy the "smell" of the hotel. I'm not sure what the smell was, but it permeated the elevator, lobby and hallways. The staff were all pleasant. I would stay at this hotel again if it was a convenient location for me. On this trip we visited Wembley Stadium and access to the two tube stops nearby made it a straight shot to the stadium. The restaurant choices were a bit limited within walking distance, but easy enough to hop on a bus right on Oxford Street.

had a good stay
Amba Hotel marble Arch is a nice place to stay . Before my stay , Mr Vincent Horovitz from the reservation depatment of hotel, keep contact with me until the end of my trip.Vincent is a nice and helpful staff. Not only answered all the enquiry in details , but also fulfilled client's needs whenever he can help. What he did really makes clients have a good stay in Amba. When I was checking-in, a senior staff was offering training to a new staff for the check in process. A longer time is needed and it is reasonable for client to wait. Wheras the attitude of the senior lady was so rude with no smile. Another incident is that the room number was marked wrongly on the card cover by the senior lady. I have to carry all the heavy luggagges back to the reception to ask. What the lady did is to correct the room number without saying sorry. Equipments in room are new and clean. Hotel is right next to underground Marble Arch station.Great location! Vincent prepared some cakes and fruit as he knew the date I checked in was my son’s birthday. He prepared well with a baby cod built in the room without requesting. These are all unexpected and made us so surprised.
