    Great place to stay

We booked a double queen bed deluxe room, with wide living room, a kitchen and a separate bedroom. Kitchen and bathroom were spotless, very clean, a pleasure to stay. We used the external pool every day. Nice play room for kids. At the office they keep a great variety of food. I wish I had time to try the local meat on bbq, the bbq area looked amazing. The place is well indicated, you can't miss it. Great place to stay for stargazing. 30 minutes from the Great Basin NP. Loved it, very quite, nothing comparable to an hotel room. Highly recommend it.

Hidden Canyon Ranch puts the TREAT in RETREAT!

WOW! I knew before checking-in that this was a going to be a memorable stay. The gravel road is worth the GEM at the end. Friendly, caring staff. CLEAN everywhere, and good quality linens, coffee pods, etc. Even the food offered for sale in the office was above par. Will definitely being staying here again!

    Well Hidden

Very nice, cozy, away-from-it-all place. I couldn’t connect to wifi the previous night and when it did connect the following morning, it was very slow and unstable.

Good, But Know What It Is

We enjoyed our stay at Hidden Canyon Ranch. It is the nicest option in the area. The property is beautiful--it's an oasis in the desert in a really beautiful little canyon. There are a lot of things to do--pool, hot tub (if you are into that), barbeque area, horse shoe pits, and a large game room. It is also a great place to star gaze. Our room was a suite, and was large and comfortable. It was, however, a little dark and dated. I think during normal times they have a dining room, but it was not open due to COVID. Fortunately, the proprietors have a market where you can purchase a decent variety of food options, including meat for grilling. That is important in the Baker area. The rooms have a nicely appointed kitchenette, and barbeque utensils. But you need to know this: I'm assuming most people coming here want to visit Great Basin National Park. It is not that close--at least 30 minutes. The most difficult part of the trip is the 6.5 mile long dirt road into the ranch. It's not awful, but it's pretty rough and extremely dusty. I got really tired of that road over four days! Know that this place is extremely remote. There are some restaurants in Baker. There is no grocery store and no drug store. No medical care. In speaking to the locals, these are folks that are used to driving hours for groceries and basic services. Be sure to find the Border Inn--it's the only place in the area to get gas (reliably), and they have some convenience items and a decent restaurant.

Great place. Really hidden and secluded! Nicest place around for over 100 miles! Only draw back is the 6 mile dirt road to get to the place. Lots of dust.
