Exceptional 10.0
Exceptional staff, lovely stay
My family of four, which included our 2 teenage sons, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a quadruple room here. Though we were prepared for many flights of stairs, our room was on the ground floor; it included a charming little private patio, shared with another guest but with a screen of plants between their part of the patio and ours. We expected small rooms, and the lack of dressers or closets was not a problem for us - there were hangers in the master bedroom and shelves in the front bedroom. The A/C was a treat and the WiFi functioned very well. Yes, there is noise from the nightclub next door, but it didn't disturb our sleep at all - easily blocked out with our AirPods or earplugs. The beds were extremely comfortable and the blackout draperies made it easy to sleep. The location was unbeatable. But it was the exceptional staff that truly made our stay so terrific. Each staff person was charming, easygoing, and helpful. On our last day, we had to mail a large package home - the manager insisted on taking it to the post office for us! It was so nice of him and made things so much easier for us. The one thing that would've made our rooms more comfortable would've been brighter lighting - the rooms were quite dark at night, esp. the front bedroom, which had no bedside lamps. But we were very happy with our rooms and would definitely stay here again if we were to be so fortunate as to return to Amsterdam.

Neat place
Super friendly, helpful staff. Nice cafe in reception right on beautiful canal by flower market. Close to downtown (so there was a lot of night noise on Friday early morning). Our room was in the annex next door in a converted canal house, and there was a very steep stairs which were fun but would be a problem for less fit people.

Nice hotel
Great room for the price. Comfortable bed. Note upper floors have no elevator and steep stairs. Would book again.

Exceptional 10.0
Kip was very welcoming on our arrival. We stayed in the former Flowers hotel building, a few doors past the main lobby. We had a 3rd floor room with an incredible view of the Singel Canal and its passing boat traffic. The window alcove afforded plenty of light, and a view up and down the street and canal. We enjoyed breakfast several mornings in the lobby. The property is well situated to provide a short walk to the Museum Plein, Amsterdam Central station, the flower market and the tram line. Would definitely book this hotel again
