Handy position in town
The hotel was a little hard to find as the sign is very small. Check in was self service but instructions were given and clear. Hotel very convenient position in town close to shops and transport. The wardrobe was rather ridiculous as the hangers and rail were so high up it was impossible to reach, otherwise it was fine. Few crumbs under table on arrival but otherwise clean.

Great unless something goes wrong.
The hotel is, in many ways delightful. The location is right in the heart of central Dunedin, close to restaurants, shopping, and transportation. The rooms - actually small apartments — are clean, well equipped and remarkably QUIET. The downsides are: 1) our “king” bed was two twins pushed together with no topper - so a ridge/gap between the two halves of the bed 2) There is no reception staff on duty. So our non-functioning phone stayed non-functioning. The staff, reached by email, did make a call for us but the frustration and inconvenience made the stay less than ideal.
