    El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course offers tropical jungle terrain, cenotes, mangroves, lagoons, and outstanding views with championship-level play for golfers of every skill level. This course is home to one of the only PGA tours held outside of the United States and Canada. It's a Par 72, 18-hole course that covers 7,024 yards.

    If you're a novice, you might also take a lesson at the Jim McLean Golf School on site. The course is located about an hour and 45 minutes outside of Cancun to the south.

    Golf Puerto Cancun

    Puerto Cancún Golf Course offers holes along the Caribbean and canals in an ecological reserve spanning 183 acres. Located in the Hotel Zone, you can add to your experience by viewing boats and yachts docked at the marina and enjoying water sports like skiing, sailing, paddle boarding, and windsurfing. After golfing, you can head for the Marina Town Centre shopping centre with its 120 big-name and boutique shops.

    The course was designed by champion golfer Tom Weiskopf and can be found about an hour from town. The greens fee is lower from May through October, and during the high season, you can get a lower greens fee after 1:30 PM. Juniors under 17 are discounted.

    Cancún Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Cancún and features holes nestled amongst 1,000-year-old Maya ruins. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr, the course is named after an ancient Maya ball game and covers 6,750 yards of ground. Walking or carting through the course here is like a walk through the ancient Maya past.

    This is also one of the more affordable courses in the Hotel Zone, located about an hour from city centre, and nestled between the sea and the Nichupte Lagoon. Fees are discounted even more during the low season from May through October.

    Playa Mujeres Golf Club

    Playa Mujeres offers 18 holes of championship golf on a course that takes advantage of and respects the local flora and fauna. The course was designed by Greg Norman and is amongst the very few in Mexico supported by the EWG, or Executive Women's Golf Association.

    Course fees include practice balls, a golf cart and bottled water. Greens, teas, and fairways feature SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum turf grass. You can enjoy a restaurant on site, and bar carts on the course offer snacks and drinks. It's just over an hour away from city centre, north of the Hotel Zone.
